Can you ask Kell if he can do flips over the top rope at his next fight - trust me, it might bring more unwanted comparisons with Naz but it will also help you sell yourself and make your fights more exciting. Its easy to forgive a one or two round blowout after a ten minute entrance!!!

Neri wrote:Neri wrote:My question to Kell, what are your thoughts on Matthew Hatton? Can you see a fight between the two of you happening especially considering the history between your promotor and the Hattons? Also, how would you see such a fight panning out? Thanks.
My boxing related question got missed. Kell doesn't really do it for me so I don't need to know his preference in women.

kell thinks he would win. its not down to kell to make the fight so if it happens it happens. if hatton wants the fight he needs to ask for it. kells the champ so he doesnt need to call people out.

can ask him to but it doesnt mean he will. he hasnt done any flips lately not sure why. flips are risky can hurt if you dont land them correctly

They also show how much confidence a fighter has and add a little bit of razmattaz to the whole event. Ask him for me mate - i was gagging for him to do it the other night. I think British boxing needs to bring a bit of arrogance and showbiz back.

But dont you think kell fighting mcintyre again would be pointless?
Not necessarily, I'm sure Kev will argue he got caught cold. If Kell can pick up the Euro title and Kev can notch up a decent win then Kev's a viable defence
you dont get caught cold 3 times, a fighter at Macs level after all the hoo hah he made about getting stripped etc should have been fully prepared like the old saying goes you dont get a second chance to make to a first impression.
These are the BOXREC ratings although I wouldnt rate the fighters in this order it more or less represents the top 15 welterweights.
Lets take a look who really is available to challenge Brook .
1,Kell Brook
2,Matthew Hatton The history between Hatton and Warren blows this 1 out of the water and Matthew wouldnt be up to it.
3,Craig Watson Commonwealth champ Hayemaker Promotions rumoured to be fighting John ODonnell
4,Kevin McIntyre Lost KO 1
5,Kevin Anderson Possible but after being beat by Mac twice seems pointless also if Tommy Gilmour is still his manager he will price his fighter out of the picture.
6,Michael Jennings Cotto in Feb
7,Michael Lomax Possible and was confident he would be given his chance ,maybe a deal with Warren was in the frame but seems to have fallen through.
8,Steve Williams Who?
9,Tony Doherty 2 Pullouts confirm he doesnt want this fight.losing to Mac also not appealing
10,Adnan Amar Trained by the Ingles alongside Brook, due to fight Mark Thompson defence of his English Title
11,Young Mutley Same camp as Elwell Erol Johnson doesnt mind risking his lower level fighters, but Mutley is always in the frame but will prob hold out till Brook vacates
12,Neil Sinclair Always a big ? ex champ and high level fighter might be exciting
13,Mark Thompson Had his chance before but pulled out of eliminator with Brook rumoured to be following Commonwealth and english title trail.
A series of eliminators were ordered between some of the above fighters for the mandatory position to fight Brook I am pretty confident that if any of you contacted the BBB OF C they would not be able to clarify the situation. He should be making a mandatory in May,his next fight will prob be April,he is then expected to vacate once he has won the belt outright.Warren is moving his other Welterweights into position Denton Vassel is 1 to watch.
Brook cant be blamed,Warren can be blamed he is keeping the Champion active and giving opportunities to fighters and a payday while moving Brook in the right direction.
I think we will be singing this kids praises in the next 12 months.

I'm from Sheffield.....
Are you involved in any boxing scene or just a mate of Kell's and that's it ?
I wondered if you had heard of what Nikki Smedley was up to boxing wise ? Have'nt heard a great deal from him for a while now and last year was supposed to be the year that he stepped things up !!

E - regarding your comments about Kell's weight - I suspect you are out to make a bit of trouble. It hasn't gone unnoticed so here is the truth.
If Kell had to lose 10 pounds in last of week how come he was 10'7 on the Tues before the fight when the board's inspector visited the Ingle gym? And if you don't believe that then call the board, I am sure they would be happy to verify.
There's a lot of rumours and smoke and mirrors in boxing when it comes to what a fighter weighs - remember Eubank's tricks, for example - but at the end of the day it's the scales that count and the log of Kell's check weigh-ins tells it's own story.
Kell can make welterweight easily and if anything may well look to move down to 10st at some point in the future.

good point dan i didnt even bother to get in to a debate about his weight. anyone who has a clue knows that the bbboc do weight inspection in the weeks leading upto the fight to ensure people are not losing stupid amounts of weight days before the fight.
