The race thing is way overblown. Johnson was able to move around not only with impunity, but with a great deal of flash and flair across state lines in a Jim Crow era. If ever he was in danger surely it was at the end of the Jeffries fight after most in the crowd lost their bets and witnessed their hero beaten up, yet Johnson nary had a care in the world. I'm sure he wisely beat a hasty retreat to more pacific quarters lest the situation change, but we know there wasn't enough security to prevent a riot had the audience been so riled as to go off the rails.

Mayorga referred to Vargas as, "fat...fat like my baby's ass."
Ain't every day you hear that at a conference

Also did Frazier and Ali until this day, they don't like each other.
leonard said the opposite if i recall correctly ...

....i've always heard that one of the reasons leonard tried to outmuscle duran in the first fight was because duran had been insulting leonard's' wife and srl was pissed and thought he could beat duran at his own tough guy game.
as for duran hating leonard...from his earliest lightweight days and then continuing throughout his career duran hated just about everybody he fought. i think he mellowed later, and by the time of the third fight it appeared he liked leonard so much that he was very careful not to hurt him.

Guzman and Barrios made for such an exciting fight because they didn't like each other.
Edwin Valero seems to bring out hate in his fellow Latin fighters for his ties to Hugo Chavez. Casamayor and Barrios already want a piece of him.
Chavez and De La Hoya never seemed to like each other. DLH respected Chavez but he loved beating his face off.
Barrera is a pretty testy guy, he's never seemed to like anyone he fights. Aside from Morales, McKinney, Hamed, Pacquiao, and even Marquez all enraged him. He sounds like he wants to decapitate Khan.
Leonard and Hagler have always had some issues. Leonard really led Hagler astray for a long time before he finally flashed his way to victory.
Michael Moorer and George Foreman had some bad blood.
Bowe and Holyfield pretty much brawled like crazy due to their rivalry, often after the bell.
Rahman and Lewis...
Yeah i heard bout that ages ago, i wonder wat happend
