A (possibly tongue-in-cheek) troll on the Current Scene who makes wild hyperbolic statements, pulls wildly for fighters which have fallen into alignment with his current mindset/likes the look of them in trunks & also shares your cavalier attitude to the definition of the word "fact".

Excuses Excuses, you predicted Khans was going to get KO'd, THAT MAKES YOU THE RETARD SH1TMAN

What happened? MAB landed about 1 shot the whole fight. Blood wasn't flowing into the eye enough to block too much vision, it detrimented Barrera but Khan's speed and movement was his biggest problem tonight

What the OP forgets about Marquez is that he may struggle early on, he may take time to settle in, but from round 3 on, he is figuring you out and breaking you down. He looked like he ws losing to Diaz and look how he came back.

Khan would look good for three rounds, get timed coming in and good night!

You make a good case PN but Khan gotta beat Prescott first or the whole thing is a waste of time. Khan vs a young prime lightweight, no excuses. Get the rematch on. I doubt it'll happen though, and even though you're obviously deluded, I'm sure even you will agree we won't ever see that fight happen.

I'm not deluded, I'd honestly give Khan a decent shot against Marquez but Prescott is a very tought stylistic match up and is LW beast as a 6'1 powerpuncher. If Khan is going to be top champion he needs to beat Prescott and perhaps he can by boxing clever but an immediate rematch isn't the best match making for him at the moment

Irrelevant good sir, he MUST beat Prescott to be considered a P4P contender. If their first fight was close then maybe you could skirt around it but Prescott totally destroyed him. I like Amir, he's got a lot going for him, but I don't want him to achieve his status by fighting extremely carefully selected opposition. If he was as good as you say he'd be able to beat Prescott in his next fight, I see your point about styles but he should be good enough to work on that surely?

Oh I don't think Amir will be P4P in the next year and I don't think he'll ever be P4P no1 either. I just see him as 1 of the future top10 ranked P4P in the future. Everyone said I was nuts when I said Pacman would be a top3 P4P fighter in 2003 because apparently he was 1dimensional. Fighters with age and talent on their side will come through.

I picked Taylor to beat BHOPs too, Taylor isn't in BHOPs class but he had too much youth for Nard just like Khan will have for Marquez

My point is though that Amir has the ability to do extremely well but I have this feeling he'll probably do as you say and achieve a tope ten p4p status, and then in ten years time we'll be having the "Calzaghe" debate about him.
Yes I have stuck up for Joe on other threads because I don't think he's quite the anti christ some people make him out to be, but I accept the criticism is valid and it's something that will keep boxing fans arguing for ever.
But I don't want that for Amir, I'm pretty sick of the same debate always involving British fighters. But Khan's career has already got over protected stamped all over it and it's frustrating. The reason I started to dislike Khan was when he made silly statements like he was too good to fight Thaxton because he'd already surpassed Thaxtons level. Then accusing Thaxton, a genuine british warrior who'll fight anyone, of only wanting the fight to "piggy back" on Khans household name. Then stating he'll step up in class to prove he's above domestic level but moving on to fight Martin Kristjansen.
I can already see Khan saying he doesn't need a Prescott rematch because now he's beat a legend in Barrera he's surpassed Prescotts' level. The only way this could be countered is if Prescott went on to win a world title but he seems to have been buried alive since he destroyed Khan. It's almost as though he's not allowed to have any success as punishment for derailing the Khan gravy train.
Just for once I'd like a talented British fighter to do it the proper way. And although it's probably not a good business move, while ever Prescott is out there Khan should take the rematch.

I didn't realise that Barrera's head would be ripped open and that they would let him go on fighting looking like he'd been in a car accident, but I suppose your amazing prediction powers called that one too? I believe my prediction would have been accurate had Barrera not had an eye filled with blood. As for the dozen or so shots Barrera did land, it doesn't say much for Khan's supposedly "improved" defence that a blind man could hit him, does it?

PN, you are setting yourself up here I'm afraid!

MAB isn't the same fighter he was 18 months ago, and even then he hardly gave Pacman the trouble you claim he did.
Whe you are mid 30s, have been a pro for nearly 2 decades and been involved in numerous wars it's not that hard to think you may start may have lost it a little bit since the Pacman fight(did I include a retirement in there too!)

It's not that uncommon for fighters to lose it practically overnight so claiming MAB is past it is hardly controversial...infact it's common sense.

You are a Khan fan and like you I'am pleased for the kid, but top 10 p4p? Cannot see it myself.

I don't think it's all that relevant whether Barrera was shot or not, it was hardly a convincing victory anyway. Yes, technically Khan has a tko over a legendary name in Barrera, but that's only going to mean something to stattoes checking Boxrec records in ten years time who never actually watch a fight. For Khan to say he's silenced his critics seems a bit, forced? If anything last nights fight will raise more questions.

His next fight has got to be against a genuine lightweight in their prime. Ideally it'd be Prescott but if not, someone who is not considered past their best and someone who is a genuine at the weight would be ideal. Khan has only fought one opponent that's been anything like the same size as him and he lost, the only time the critics will be silenced is if he starts beating these types of opponent.

i think MAB was robbed though. the ONLY reason the fight was stopped because MAB had a a cut which cleary his couner men were hopless with healing. i mean if MAB did not have a cut in the first place i reakon MAB would have ko'd khan with in round 5 or 6. when Barerra threw a punch at khan he did stumble a liitle but then took a step back. Barerra could not see a thing as the blood was blocking his view of khan and also he said that he could ot feel khans punches.
i hope he can have a rematch which would be less likey .you wait till khan faces a decent oppistion though. he will get Ko'd the fuk out of . i hope he face Juan Diaz or david diaz .then we will see how he can handle their punches .

Exactly Babyblue, the victory was hardly convincing and I think raises more questions than anything. But Khan is out saying he's silenced his critics and the press are saying Khan has moved up into the "world stage." It all just seems so false and to me it seems like this will pave the way for Khan to have an extremely protected future. He's dodged the best fighters at domestic and Euro level and still finds himself in contention for a "World" title shot, so the natural progression will be he'll dodge all the best fighters at world level too.

It's a shame because all this will do is give Britain another fighter that will get criticized by the rest of the world for having a phoney career.

Beating a never was in Fagan and then a has-been in Barerra does not remove the taint of being beaten by Prescott.

the whole hype thats srurrounded the fight .i mean the silver medal seems to get mensioned in every fight khan has .also the trainer roach. hes good but we need some like khan to face a prescott again. see how his defence has improved. ? it does not count as win for khan and to shut his critics up when clearly MAB has blood gushing down him .he could hardly see khan but landed some good shots which claeary gave khan a cut eye ,cut to the nose.i jsut hope and pray that warren would let a Diaz or a romovou infront of khan lets see if he can handle romovou's power.? or Katidis would be an ideal oppnant for khan at this time though. let see if he can get passed him. do you think warren will take short cut to khan becoming a world champ.? his title are like mickey mouse belts.at moment. yes i think so.

thoght Khan fought very well, good to see him keep his hands up.
Didnt like the wavin the hands in the air though, save that shit mate when you have achieved half of what MAB has.

MAB obviously shot to shit but Khan did whathe had to do and did it well. Credit to him nothing wrong with that performance thougth it was by far his best yet.

you think .no mab was robbed .i mean if he has not had the cut im sure that he would ko amir.
i think that fight was unfair on mabs end .yeah the whole khan putting his hands in the air was just stupid. imsure he would not consider doing that if he faced guzman or marquez.
i just cant wait until khan gets ko'd by a decent oppant.
