Oh look he lost to Ishe Smith..... :P :P :P
dangerous randall bailey not at that juncture..
He would still beat 95% of Hatton victims!

Does'nt count DG
Cotto has'nt fought at 140lbs since he beat Malignaggi in june 2006 for the WBO title
Want to try again ? I did say "few" years and it's coming up to three years now !!

You said ;ast few years so I said COTTO! Cotto is a better braver more risk taking fighter..
Check this out.
Cotto oppponents
Mosley*
Margarito*
Judah*
Quintanta* ( when he was hot!)
Torres*
Corley*
Uktal*
Branco*
Randall*
Pinto*
N'dou*
Kid Diamond*
* Denotes still a live threat!
Hatton opponents
PBF ( Ko Loss!)
Lazcano
Castillo
Maliganaggi
Maussa
*Collazo
Oliveria
Michael Stewart
Cotto more a risk taker.AND the better all round fighter.
A mix of Welter fights and Lt Wekter fights, who took the RISKS???
Hatton in not pound for pound anything until he beats Pacaman and a Cotto or Mosley.. Not JMM who while great is still in my book a Superfeather.

I'm glad you took the bait DG
Perhaps i should have said "right now", rather than a "few years", which is open to interpretation
You know, with your knowledge DG, you should'nt be second bottom of the prediction league

You crap on about all thes no hopers that hatton has fought as a champ, urango (who has turned out to be a more than decent fighter) they both fought maussa, both fought magg, hatton since being champ has CERTAINLY not had as easy a nights work as Alfonso frikken gomez nor the out of his depth Jennings.
There really isnt much in it .
Does that answer you question?
yeah imagine the stick hatton would have got for boxing gomez and jennings.
compared to those 2 lazcano is a legend.
i think cotto's had the slightly better resume.
helped by stepping up and boxing mosley and margarito.
but there isn't a world of difference in it.
hopefully this fight happens still.
it's still the one i want to see the most around 140/147.

Mosley didn't look good 2 fights ago.
Mosley shut out Collazo who arguably beat Hatton, not because of size but because of skill, Hatton reportedly weighed more than Collazo on fight night and P4P is about ability relative weight.
He then lost to Cotto (who lost to Margarito) and was a second away on most peoples card from losing to Mayorga. Not P4P form.
Arguably beat Cotto, I had him winning, Mayorga isn't a bad fighter either

Well it seems its dependent on who he is fighting. Gets smashed by DLH and he is crap and its a nothing win for DLH, gives Mosley a scare and he is the bee knees.
I agree he isn't bad, but I think a P4P contender (for the #1 position) should be able to handle him easily.

How is Malignaggi not a live threat for Hatton, and Ndou was for Cotto?
And Castillo not a threat?

I was very impressed with DLHs demolition on him, Mayorga was world class taking apart Forrest and Hatton isn't beating that Mayorga at 147 either. I thought Mayorga did a good job against Vargas too

Ndou was more a solid gatekeeper but at his best hes better than Malignaggi and deserved the verdict in the rematch. And Herman Ngoudjo deserved the verdict against Castillo and Malignaggi. Hence the Urango win is proving to be Hatton's second best win at 140 so far

I disagree, appologise on the Mayorga comment, it just it seems to suit some members to call him crap at times and then the dogs bollocks the next. I didn't mean you specifically... just it seems to be classed as a bad win for DLH and a good win for Mosley.
As for Malignaggi - I disagree, Ndou got completely out done with him in his first fight in the rematch it was close - right man won IMO. However, you can hardly say Malignaggi was on form that night. Most of the time, through his own fault, he couldn't see Ndou's punches. When they finally got rid of the locks - Malignaggi pulled away (IMO).
I don't think any version of Ndou beats the version of Malignaggi that beat him in fight 1.
I definately think Ngoudjo beat Malginaggi - but also think an unmotivated Castillo beat him... The Urango win is looking better, and as I said in the threat - it doesn't necessarily mean that win was good for Hatton... because of the Ngoudjo vs Maliagnaggi fight. How much has Hatton improved under Mayweather? maybe less than we originally thought (cause Malignaggi is overated - but still better than Ndou IMO).
However, DG completely omitted Urango from his list of Hatton opponents.

Urango would have won by dq if an avergae ref controlled that fight ( Gid knows what Tiny Weeks was on that night).
Hatton held like a limpet.
