Any word on who he is fighting. My money is on another terribly overmatched opponent.

De Mori has posted this on his Facebook page dated 4th April 2014:
With my USA visa renewal not complete I will not be able to box May 10 in USA as planned but I have been given a great opportunity by Chad Bennett to keep moving forward boxing on his show May 2. This will be my last defence of the WBU title before planning to chase the more prestigious WBA title which I am currently rated 12 for.
Buried deep in his ego trip of a Facebook page is this blurb on his opposition:

Raymond Ochieng is De Mori's opponent, and poor old Ray has bit the dust in 5 of his last six bouts. TrainInsane, you were spot on in calling:
My money is on another terribly overmatched opponent.
Ray's remarkable record is: won 24 (KO 19) + lost 17 (KO 13) + drawn 3 = 44 bouts with rounds boxed 134.

With a history of fighting piss-poor opponents, De Mori's WBU title must mean: Worlds Best Urine!

Newcastle Heavyweight History?

I believe the REAL history is taking place this Sunday morning in Germany with Leapai Vs Klitschko.

Amazing De Mori and Leapai crossed paths early in their careers and since then Leapai has headed north and De Mori almost due south.

Shows if you are serious about the sport you can go places and if you choose to be a facebook personality instead that's achievable too.

Alex first pro fight was against DeMori, if I remember rite DeMori was in his 4th fight with all ko,s. Alex,s trainer at the time told me after the fight DeMori had said he will never fight Alex again, and I don't think he has fought a fighter with a heart bet ever since. :verysad:

I've finally alighted from the deMori Express, it can continue on along it's track to nowhere. Come back to CHB, Matty, you're sorely missed over ther.

De Mori should feel ashamed if he just watched Lucas Browne win the comm title and next up watches Leapai fight for a world title. Big difference between having ambition and the nerve to chase titles, and going through the motions.

I get the impression Mark De Mori is genuinely embarrassed about this opponent. He's making no mention of the guy's name anywhere. Prefers telling his followers how much he's been lifting.

They used to be sparring partners when Browne was starting out. Browne has since had some big fights and improved dramatically. De Mori has continued fighting bums. So it is hard to tell where he is at.

If De Mori is fighting in 17 days time. He's sure doing his best to keep it a secret. Too busy trying to play twitter hero to mention he's actually got a fight coming up and who he's fighting

I honestly get the feeling he's embarrassed by this fight and doesn't want the world to know about it.

Some one asked him on facebook, Since there both part of DKP stable. He said they have been working on that fight (Stiverne) before he even won the WBC title.

BTW i don't think it will happen but if it does good for him.

I don't think it will happen either. That's why I asked where you heard it. If you believe nothing you read on Mark's pages you will be correct 99% of the time.

The Chad Bennett vs Tony Fernandez fight has fallen through. Bennett now without an opponent just over a week out from the announced date. Where this leaves De Mori's fight is anyone's guess. He sure as hell won't mention it on his twitter or facebook page

Bennett is now fighting TBA on Friday, 11 July 2014 at Wests Club New Lambton, NSW.

De Mori remains the invisible man of boxing!
