Sibson hasn't appeared yet has he? If not I think he deserves a week, I'd go with Sibson-Tate.

Howard Eastman vs Bernard Hopkins

Wayne Elcock for the British title, went the distance

Bunny Johnson v James Scott

There's a lot of Najib Daho suggestions throughout the thread and I know absolutely nothing of him
is he worth a viewing?

Well Horse, it's week 52.
We need a corker for the final week.
No suggestions from Davie, it's your pick.

Congratulations Horse, this has been a good run and I've enjoyed virtually every fight
I've rewatched some classics that needed rewatching and I've learned about British fighters, that to my shame, I never knew anything about.
I've taken the time to go away and read a bit more about some of the fighter shown and feel far better educated on the British fight scene and it's history, For me the thread has served it's purpose
Now for christ sake stick to this and knock that daft top 30 thread on the bloody head

I'm very low energy at the moment.
Am I meant to be doing a domestic and world challenge this year?

It's up to yourself. One or the other or both if you fancy.
I've given you a jump start for 2017.
You can thank me later

Why didn't he ever fight for the British title? Was he eligible for that title?
Wasn't Boza-Edwards 17 when he moved to Britain in 1974? And then he turned pro two years later in 1976.
He started fighting abroad on a regular basis about 18 months into his career in 1978 and then became primarily American based after 1980, where he now lives.
He was born and raised in Uganda, came to Britain for a few years and then left for America. He just doesn't seem very British to me.
Boza-Edwards represented Uganda as a Featherweight at the 1976 Montreal Olympic Games.
Are you sure that he ever represented England as an amateur?
http://boxrec.com/media/index.php?title=Human:608
Boza boxed several times for England as an amateur but couldn't fight for the British title as a pro because there was a 10-year residency rule in the 1970s. He also never caught on with British fans (for some reason), which is why Mickey Duff used him overseas.

Najib was no Gentleman Jim but his shock first-round kayo of Pat Cowdell is worth a viewing (the crowd invaded the ring but Cowdell was 'out') and he featured in a great fight with Pat Doherty on the McGuigan-McDonnell card in Manchester in 1989, climbing off the floor to outlast the precise-punching Doherty.
