Of course, the counter argument to this is that by forcing things earlier Quigg would open himself up to counters & not have the strength or energy later on to close the show.
Quigg started very slow & came on later but that doesn't automatically equate to him winning if he starts fast in a rematch.
Saunders-Eubank Jr debate all over again.
Yep....I can understand both sides.
I didn't have a strong feeling as to who would win this (prior to the fight) & I'd be exactly the same in a rematch.
Quigg lost this - rather than Frampton won this - and if they fought again would Quigg starting earlier automatically mean he'd win more rounds? He might be gassed out by the 11th. Personally I doubt it as I think he has a great engine but would he still be effective late on or would he get picked off?
I can see a rematch but in 2018, Autumn 2017 at the earliest.
Frampton needs to carry this momentum forward into a fight with Rigo while Eddie should offer the winner of the Ceja Ruiz fight a decent sum of money for a summer bout.

You really do give off creepy vibes.

Just as boring though.

Am I a massive pervert? Hell yes, I'm balls deep in that shit. I might be a bit of loon, but at least I know Frampton won that fight. You thought it was a draw. You are wrong. Say hello to your mum for me.

I had first round a draw, neither did enough for me
Rounds 2-7 Frampton
Rounds 8-11 Quigg
Round 12 Frampton (duno where he puleld that out from as he looked like he was throwing the fight away for the previous 4 rounds)
So I had it 7-4-1 to Frampton
116-113 to Frampton
Shame for Quigg, because as soon as he got going you could see he realised he was actually the stronger of the two, he could be the bully and he was the power puncher in there.
He paid far too much respect to Frampton, a rematch would be very interesting because I actually think, much as Frampton was the superior boxer, Quigg must take a massive amount of belief from that fight, knowing that he was actually pretty comfortable and Frampton was the man who had the scary moments in the fight.
WHo knows, Frampton's a clever boxer, a rematch might see Frampton come up with another clever plan, but I think Quigg will come on for this, I thought Quigg was quite basic, but he showed tonight he's actually got a load of ability, but possibly lacks self-belief. Sometimes a loss like this can wake a fighter up, especially the manner of defeat tonight.
Maybe he'll put it on the line sooner in future - I do think there's an argument he froze under the pressure though as well - he looked very stiff in the early rounds.

Thought Frampton won it clearly, Quigg did next to nothing for 6 rounds. Not sure if he froze or not, but by the time he got going it was too late.

These kind of tiffs are normal on the Current Scene. We're of a higher class.
I hope you're drinking a decent wine, at least.

quigg galagher and hearn talked too much. talking is one thing. you can talk as much as you want but quigg found out that however much you think you can best someone when they are actually in front of you looking as if they are actually about to merely have a sparring session its a different matter. all that talk and where was quigg? he was in the ring but may aswell not have been. his "dedication" he banged on about done f all for him in the biggest fight of his career. proving night tonight and he messed it right up, was frightened to get involved, wasn't commiting with feet and hips to punches, purely outclassed and he knew it from the opening bell . yeah frampton didnt get the stoppage i predicted but he is levels above quigg

Utter garbage.
Quigg had Frampton going in the 11th, Frampton never hurt Quigg, even with six rounds for free.

i should think quigg should of had frampton going at somepoint after all that talk, yeah frampton did dissapoint me aswell, but the point remains that after all the snidey comments and jeering from quigg/gallagher/hearn quigg was still more or less non existent for an entire fight. i won't reward someone for "having someone going" towards the end of the fight where he could of started with bad intentions and genuinely try and impose his will on frampton which he failed miserably to do.
frampton made quigg look silly at numerous times with quigg missing by loads, too much hype for an average fight in the end but more dissapointing on quiggs half

Really? So him obviously winning several of the final few rounds and clearly being the boss over Frampton when a fight actually started didn't grab your attention?

no it didn't. i expected quigg to really make frampton feel as if he was sharing a ring with a contender that could genuinely hurt him and deliever on some of the things he was saying.
the whole fight was a bit disaponting really, hardly the barn burner i and many others expected to see but quiggs few breakthrough moments towards the end (that he couldln't sustain otherwise we may have seen a stoppage) just weren't enough, gallagher knew it, hearns face said it all and mcguigans advice in the corner about tucking up and pot shotting him in round 12 because quigg was so behind that he needed a KO to even stand a chance of winning told the story of what went on

Piss poor night from a PPV point of view the undercard was shocking and the main event was only decent for about 4 rounds.

Twas a poor fight. I had it Rounds 1-7 to Frampton, Quigg Rounds 8-11, Frampton wins the 12th.
116-112 Frampton

I don't know how you can say Frampton is levels above Quigg.
Frampton did absolutely nothing in that fight. He never outboxed Quigg, he never hurt Quigg, all the major punches came from Quigg.
The only reason he won was because he did slightly more than Quigg for the first 6 rounds by throwing a handful of jabs whereas Quigg did fornicate all. Once Quigg started actually fighting, Frampton was all over the place.]
Frampton didn't win the fight. Quigg lost it.

My feelings too, it looked like Quigg was too tense. I'd have liked him to win and he frustrated the hell out of me - it reminded me a bit of Andy Lee - all that work to become champ thrown away. How can you win a fight without throwing punches?
