The typical fanboys were saying that AJ is the best of all time last night and now are saying he can't fight

Until they fight each other it's all conjecture. Joshua will get pelters until, the rematch, everyone saying told you so knew he was crap etc.
I'm sure the rematch will have to wait for his multiple overseas strength and conditioning camps.

Late November or early December according to Hearn.

That's the thing though Coco. The casual market is now destroyed completely and for ever.
The sculpted hero of the casuals was destroyed by a little fat man. Its over.

Until Joshua wins the rematch on home soil with a home referee.

Yeah but the casual market is fickle. He'll never recover his status with them.
His best chance now is to build up a following and some respect with the hard core boxing fans. That's where the real redemption lies.
But I don't think he's got the ability and heart to come back. That was a lesson.

Remember all the "AJ vs Ali, Who Wins?" type of threads around here

or at the very least least they were saying he'd squash Fury and Wilder and could have kayoed Lennox Lewis if they met prime for prime?

You speak for the tens of thousands who buy tickets and all the PPV sales with such conviction. Until his next fight is confirmed you have no way of knowing what will happen.

You've got to congratulate Ruiz , and I do, but he's a fat slob and ANYBODY in the top ten would beat him. Chisora for example would handle him with ease. Its an absolute embarassment for Joshua, Hearn, DAZN, boxing in general and British boxing in particular.
We can't kid ourselves - just look at any image of Ruiz !!! If I was 6'6"" built like a god with all the training I've been given, a triple world champion and I was looking over the referees shoulder at that monstrosity/excuse for a boxer I'd be utterly ashamed.
What on earth was wrong with Joshua?
When the problems are sorted Joshua will totally annihilate Ruiz within a round in December -and then we'll need to ask what happened here. Has Ruiz suddenly developed into a Tysonesque puncher ? I don't think so.
Somebody somewhere has to explain this. If Ruiz had been brought in as a warm up fight for Haye we'd be moaning, thats how bad he is.

You've missed the point though. Joshua just isn't as good as people thought he was. He's a big guy who has had physical advantages against other fighters who weren't fast enough to expose him.

Dreadful post. Andy Ruiz would bash Chisora's brains in. And you think Joshua would KO Ruiz in one? What planet are you on? Worst post of the day, probably the week, possibly the year come December when Ruiz KOs him again.

What caught my eye was the way that Ruiz stayed composed and in range, dealing with the shots coming at him with confident parries.

Just watched an interview with Eddie who said the rematch would happen in England.
When asked why he said that AJ went over to USA to give Ruiz his opportunity and it was only fair.
The bloke makes it up as he goes along.

Totally. And people eat up the cr*p he spouts.
Totally washing over the fact they couldn't sell Wembley so decided to showcase in America before any opponent was announced. Then picking Miller before eventually deciding on Ruiz after Miller failed the tests.
But yeah Eddie, of course you travelled to America to give Ruiz his chance.

dear oh dear. Ruiz is now a world beater, and of course everyone put money on the rank outsider to beat Joshua.
I repeat Ruiz is a bum, something was terribly wrong with Joshua, either mentally of physically. I wonder if he was stunned or knocked down in sparring in the few weeks before the fight.
The first thing I'd do is get back to London and get an MRi scan.
What an utter embarrassment. Ruiz couldn't beat anybody in the top ten.

You're in denial. It will wear off in a few days.
I suggest you watch the fight a few more times.

In boxing people get punched.
You can take a body shot easily, but then if the same shot was delivered a mm either side it would take you out for 20 seconds. It's the same with punches on the top of the head except the effects take longer to shake.
Ruiz certainly isn't so bad, he was good enough to get some shots off and more importantly good enough to take advantage when Joshua was hurt.
On another night if he didn't get off with the same shot it would be different. The differences between success and failure in boxing aren't a lot.
