TVP's (Polish tv) protest paid off. They will receive the reimbursement not only for the Riga event, but for the last 3 WBSS events shown on the TVP Sport channel.

WBO orders the Głowacki vs Briedis rematch before the WBSS final, despite of what some posters on here were saying, there is some justice in boxing Głowacki is a official pretender to both WBO and WBC titles. He said that he prefers the rematch with Briedis than fighting Makabu

Głowacki must choose one option, when he chooses one, he lost the right to fight for the other title. Głowacki takes the WBO fight vs Briedis, then the next in the WBC ranking is Krzysztof Włodarczyk. Both Głowacki and Włodarczyk have the same promoter, Andrzej Wasilewski. So, I suppose that Wasilewski plans to make Makabu vs Włodarczyk and Głowacki vs Briedis. Głowacki is an ambitious fighter, says that the rematch with Briedis, even with no title at stake, is a priority for him.

Nope. They deducted a point to Briedis for that and Glowacki was still being foul, before getting dropped, after the pause

“Glowacki’s appeal is denied in part and granted in part and the WBO Championship Committee Resolution issued on July 17th , 2019 is modified as stated in the majority opinion,” Fernando J.
