I’ve no idea what their subs are like in the U.K. but they’re a global business unlike BN so could well have 10s of thousands of subs in various other countries for boxing.

Yeah, it's a shame. Their prices quadrupled and they lost the biggest star of the sport.
It's a nice idea, but must be hard to pull off that business model.

I unsubscribed when the price went up. Not enough content to justify the monthly amount at the moment. Happy to resubscribe when/if a decent card comes along. But for the same price as a Netflix or Prime sub, DAZN really needs to do better.

No, Wallin. I’m guessing he was on a good few hundred big ones for the Whyte fight. No doubt Hearn slashed that by a factor of 5 to face the Cabbage.

Dillian Whyte Likely To Pursue Tyson Fury Title Fight Next, Says Hearn

“I would think Dillian Whyte’s next fight will be Tyson Fury, but we’ll have to see. I’m not ruling out the Otto Wallin fight, that’s a fight that’s at our discretion to reschedule," Hearn told IFL TV. “We may look to reschedule the fight or we may look to give Otto Wallin another fight. It is not our responsibility, but we want to be fair at the same time. Unfortunately, when they come out with these accusations, it doesn't really make you want to help out with the process because they are unfounded. But I understand his frustration … Dillian should be back early next year, hopefully against Tyson Fury.”

Wallin said in a press conference Friday that he wants proof of Whyte’s shoulder injury from Whyte’s doctor and an independent physician.

“I don’t know if Dillian is injured or not, but we just wanna know that we have all the facts,” said Wallin. “And so far, we haven’t got any facts at all. There’s been just a statement saying that he’s injured, he had a doctor look at it, but nothing more than that. And so, we wanna find out the facts and see if he’s injured... And I feel like that’ll be very important. But so far, there’s been no effort on their end to help us with that. So, we wanna find that out and then make sure this fight gets rescheduled.”

Hearn offered his rebuttal aiming to crush Wallin’s claims.

"If we would have [faked an injury], we would have done that three weeks ago [when Fury beat Wilder]. There is no value. Dillian Whyte has been paying sparring partners in Portugal. He's got a full time camp running with his team,” said Hearn.

“We all talked about the news [of Fury's win]. It was never discussed we should pull out. But obviously people are saying 'why would you fight Otto Wallin when you can fight Tyson Fury?' Dillian Whyte made the decision to move forward with the fight. He was never going to pull out of the fight. He's been training since April and May for this fight. He was going to make a lot of money for this fight. It's a fight he believes he can win. He doesn't want to go into the Tyson Fury fight with just the last Alexander Povetkin fight. He wants to get the activity. So that's not the case at all. This pull out hurts everybody.”

It does look suspicious why Whyte pulled out - what would he earn against Fury in comparison to Wallin?

That said .. if he goes into a Fury fight next then he will have had terrible preparation. Both Povetkin fights will have done him no good, and a good tune up v Wallin would have been ideal (only if he won of course).

Regardless of subcriptions overseas; their UK business is every bit as important. There will already be some people being tasked with looking through the contract they signed with Eddie to look for get out clauses.

What’s been announced so far for their U.K. shows is poor but as someone who used to buy most Sky PPVs the £16 for DAZN is less than one PPV. So could be less than the Eubank/Williams PpV that’s been talked about and could well be less than the Jake Paul/Tommy Fury PpV on BT.

It’s certainly not game changed - particularly in the U.K. - but I don’t think the value for money is bad at the moment.

Each to their own I guess. I’d rather than the DAZN line up than potentially paying a few quid more to watch Eubank/Williams plus undercard on PPV.

There is usually a lot of paranoia and cynicism on here, but it looks like Dillian has fuelled it.

Hopefully he won’t go into another distracting side drama.

Whatever, it’s a shame as a good heavyweight fight is a commodity.

I just wonder, was he a little bit injured but going ahead with the Wallin fight. One of those risks that many fighters take. And then when he heard about his mandatory status, it encouraged him to go ahead with the withdrawal.
