Whyte has had an extremely good career, considering how limited his technical abilities are. Personally, didn’t think he had a chance. But, blowing a gasket after 4 rounds is pretty poor.

And he had a full training camp. Can’t complain can he?

I think it's a typo and should read Payola

Just watched it back.
Fury running to the ring with his entourage, whilst Sex on Fire blasts out, followed by a round of feeling out, 5 rounds of schooling and an uppercut from hell, in front of 94k is a hell of a show.
Did Dillian show more than Audley? Discuss.
Why does DAZN as the home of boxing have such little presence at the top of the fight game in the Uk?
A great great night.

There's always one judge who seems to have watched a different fight than the rest of us.
I didn't give Whyte a single round. At a push you could possibly make a case, if you're generous, that he squeaked the first.

Strangest thing though, the middle judge didn’t even give him the first

He gave him the 2nd and 3rd.
God knows where he was sat.

Yeah - Dillian showed more than Audley. He actually threw some punches. Didn’t land many mind.
DAZN have put on some good shows but it’s currently only known by the relatively small amount of hardcore fans and not many casuals. The only show they’ve done that would have driven subscribers with Billy Joe/Canelo but everyone I know who subscribed for that cancelled either when the price went up or when the Whyte/Wallin fight was cancelled.
They need a genuinely big U.K. fight to gain any traction and need to do more to get the app known about and out there. There’s still talk of some sort of linear Tv link up but that’s been spoken about for 9 months now so who knows.
I watched the Fury show with a mate who I’ve been to loads of boxing shows with. This was the second show he’s watched of the year (after Khan/Brook) and he said it’s a shame Hearn left Sky. He didn’t even know the name of DAZN or what fights they had coming up.

great great night, yet the undercard stunk and we're discussing how whyte's showing compares to one of the lamest world title challenges ever, rather ironic

Whyte must've still been concussed as he told Bunce afterwards he thought it was a close fight

The moden heavyweights are said to be 'too big' for previous heavies, yet they look like they'd drop from a heart attack in a 15 rounder.

Those scorecards are laughable. The fight was utterly one-sided.

BTW I cut my cable/satellite TV 10 years ago,
so now I usually listen to the results of the BIg fights on the radio afterwrds.
Was listening to Fox Sports Radio late Saturddy Night ( around 10 pm to 11 pm Mountain Time)
and they didnt even mention the fight at all !
was it because it was held on ESPN PPV ?

Next time try TalkSport- search that and you can listen to ringside coverage over the Internet. Unless they piss Fwank off, then it will be upper atmosphere side coverage.

Probably re: ESPN PPV although from what I’ve read the fight didn’t have much interest in the states.

Didn’t garner much interest watching it to be fair.
5 rounds of not a lot, then Whyte puffing out his ringpiece and one punch and he's gone.
One of my best decisions this year not to pay for it.

I didn’t regret paying for it. It wasn’t a great fight but it was a great performance I think.

Fair enough mate

I guess I expected a bit more from Whyte, and oh my gawd- the undercard

Yeah - the undercard was crap (although as expected it was a good scrap with Lowe and Ball) but I had a decent Chinese that helped me through the low points.
I expected more from Whyte too. I think he came in heavy expecting Fury to be heavier like he was in Wilder 2 & 3 so he wanted to be able to compete strength. In reality Fury was just far too good and at that weight will be very very difficult to beat.

Fury clearly won every round.
And we talk about Mark Green, Big Tel and IJL as if it's a British disease.

One of them of not, two of them were just as bad.

Some ring entrance.
The running part reminds me of the Batman and Robin scene in Only Fools and Horses.

I like that whole running thing.
Kept Whyte waiting ages though.
