They don't look accurate to me. Alot seem to give AB round 1. Neither did much, both landed a couple of jabs and AB threw about 3 to 4 right hands which all missed or were blocked. I think there is a case for that round as even.

From what I saw Meyer dictated the pace controlled the ring and brought sustained pressure and looked to be landing and throwing far more for better part of fight.

AB was on the outside single pot shotting too much and I think she got outworked.

96-94 isn't a bad scorecard for the fight.. Anything from 96-94 to 98-20 would be accepted IMO.

I think I gave Marshall 6,7,8 and 9 and was undecided on either the 5th or 10th.

Agree. But, like I said, Shields won her rounds convincingly. She won the fight. But the score was close. I was surprised it wasn't a split decision.

It was a really great fight. Marshall can be immensely proud of herself: it takes two to make a great fight; a lot of skill, savvy, and mental toughness was on display in that ring, from both fighters. A shame it wasn't 10 x 3min rounds

I can't help but feel Fury is deflecting away from his poor corner work which if anyone was listening to - It was poor. There was next to no tactical advise.

Marshall came out the gate with zero defense or jab and looked to bulldoze her way through Shields. She needed calming down. but she never changed that approach through the 10 rounds even after losing a good chuck of the early rounds. The corner work was lacking.

I don't think 2 minute rounds or 10 rounds are doing the women a good service. They tend to just scrap with little to no clean work. It is mildly entertaining but both the big fights on Saturday would have been much more interesting over 12 and 3 minute rounds.

Can't decide whether Marshall looked slow and ponderous (being the naturally bigger boxer) or it was just that Shields is so much quicker. I know Marshall is the one with power but a decent boxer (Shields in this case), made her look like she only had a puncher's chance in this fight.

In addition, I'm glad Marshall got away from Floyd and found confidence and guidance under Fury, as it got her to stay in the game and get to this point. It seems now that she needs to take her confidence and move onto a better coach imho - as you can see the slow and ponderous traits in Hughie too- maybe just a size thing who knows

I strangely enjoyed the Mayer/Baumgardner fight more than Shields/Marshall fight which I thought was more one-sided than most people.

I’d happily watch Mayer against Taylor, Persoon, Serrano, AB again, Jonas. Even Hamadouche again.

Lots of good fights at lightweight to make.

I liked Mayer vs. Baum too..

Mostly because I looking at Baum's ass the whole time.
