Yeah, the guy clearly lacks the knowledge how to do in different situations. You can't just go there and trade without a thought.

Massive emphasis on Yarde's work while he was being jolted with jabs at will. Yarde was at his limit trying to stay wiith him. It looked obvious fom my seat. Biev knew.
Yarde landed his best shot of the night and Biev laughed at him. Meanwhile the commentary lost their shit.

Has to be Beterbiev v Bivol next
I'd take this over Spence v Crawford anyday (not that I don't want to see Spence v Crawford).
I can see a few Posters liking Bivol, but Beterbiev brings way more heat & power than Canelo, not to mention excellent footwork.

I enjoyed the Yarde fight but not sure how he was in front on points at the end, Beterbiev had too many skills and always seemed to bo outboxing him.
The rest of the card was pretty crap, I'd rather chew my own knob off than pay twenty odd quid to watch Fury v Paul. The Fletcher and Moses fights were farcical and I bet F W was fuming at Karol Itoma getting beaten as that put paid to putting the brothers on together for a while.
If Moses wants to win the World Title in a couple of years he will need to fight often and fight much better opponents. A bum of the month campaign won't see him going anywhere

I watched American commentary, in the first 2 minutes of round one Andre Ward said "Yarde is trying to hard to box and over using his energy, he'll be tired in a round or 2"
I was never a massive fan of Ward when he boxed, but he really knows his stuff and reads fights well.
He was saying Yarde doing well but doesn't want to lay in on ropes or in corners as he can't box off them, that He'll end up getting caught if he tries Mayweather stuff as he may get away with it in training but Beterbiev has seen it so many times in 300 odd amateur fights .
The Americans were impressed by Yarde, but kept it real on what was happening in the ring

Shades of murray v ggg. At times Murray looked great but you knew he was fighting beyond himself and GGG had that extra level.

I watched with BT commentators who were shouting continuously throughout the fight and barely gave Beterbiev any credit for anything but I watched a highlight video which had the US commentators and it was levels above and was much more accurate as to what was going on with better analysis.

Some salty old sea dogs going hard on Yarde but he made it a competitive fight and nobody gave him a prayer .

Great fight, never mind the winning and the losing, from a spectators point of view that was a great fight to watch, and we don't get that enough in boxing these days

He gave ground, but I'm not sure he was hurt. His corner told him not to step in and that's what he did. I thought he was trying to walk Yarde onto shots.

This should be a lesson to all of you who said I was taking rubbish when I said Yarde had a chance to win. It came down to fine margins and just the pure elite class of Artur that carried him over the line.
When Yarde caught him in the 5th I thought he had him and the arena went berserk. Just watched it back and after that punch Anthony had him cornered, but he threw a wild uppercut instead of cracking him with another straight right which would have been easier to land. We’ll never know but I’m sure if he landed another good one he would be the Champion this morning.
Hope that hasn’t taken anything out of him - Warren will try to navigate him towards another WBO shot next year when the belts scatter.

So what you are saying is you predicted one of the hardest punching British boxers had a chance of winning if he hit the man right and knocked him out.
