The exact same can be said for Benn as well mate, even more so in fact
I know mate but Benn's not whinging constantly about the weight discrepancies he signed up for, posting pics blaming Ben Shalom for all his words etc, Eubank brain damaged Blackwell so you think he'd know better than to spread lies about matchroom purposely blocking his ambulance and the rest of his tales, he's a liar and he should know better

He claimed someone from Matchroom was trying to stop him from getting into an ambulance?

If I were Eddie he'd get sued if he said some stupid sh*t like that again.

I'm sure the weight was an issue, Chris turned pro in 2011 at 164lbs aged 22. He was a pro for three years before he weighed under 160lbs. So for Eubank to be making MW at 36 must be really difficult. I appreciate he has done it in more recent years but he wasn't handicapped with rehydration clauses.

Yeah I agree, his choice so he has to deal with it but seems like its backfired. Or maybe he doesn't care as he's earn't a fortune.

Yh, they aided a 2-fight deal with the exact same terms. Was daft.

Could have left some things open in the contract. But they didn’t.

Do you think he made more from these 2 Benn fights than he would've for the Canelo fight that was on the table before them?

I ask because the Canelo fight is probably no longer an option.

He’s definitely made more money fighting Benn twice.

Thing with when Turki makes fights. Each Individual sign separate contracts with him.

Well if he's made more money he ultimately made the right call then because he's at least gone 1-1 in these bouts whereas he would've just been shut out against Canelo, and probably taken more punishment.

It's funny how everyone is talking about poor Chris Eubank, and his weight struggle when he made this same exact weight struggle earlier this year and won

He knew EXACTLY what he was getting into. He had already made the weight and fought THIS guy.

At middle the champ is George Liddard, another matchroom fighter.
Also there are Denial Bentley, Nathan Heaney and Brad Paul.
All would be really good fights, but none have the profile to be in the mix.
Liam Smith has a bigger profile and he is past his peak too.

Liam Smith is the move then.

I know Benn keeps mentioning Barrios, but honestly Barrios is going to have many better opportunities than Benn I think. I think he's already signed to fight Ryan Garcia right?

Anytime Barrios has a fight scheduled, you certainly cannot count on him to still have a belt at the end of it

Eubank Jnr looked truly awful last night. The weight obviously killed him this time. Low energy and a dead man walking, it looked like there was nothing in the tank from Round 1. That said, he signed up for it, so only has himself to blame.

Benn did what he was suppose to do and get the win and made it look relatively easy.

Eubank signed up for 10 million quid, nobody should feel sorry for him
Many elite level fighters don't get that in their careers

Duke one of my all time favourite fighters. And funnily enough, when I watched him win his first title he made me sit up & take notice of Filipino fighters. After watching Bohol lose to Duke I always followed them & eventually that made me win money betting on Pacquiao in Mexican bookies 15 years later :D

Eubank looked drained and old. His performance was almost at the level of Liam Smith's in the rematch. Roles reversed this time against Benn. Odd as Eubank-Williams seemed similar too. Williams looked like he was on one fight too many.

Chris has made a lot of money hope he still has some of it.

Whilst the weight may have played a part, I genuinely think Father Time was the biggest factor.

He has looked unsteady on his feet for some time now, but has managed to get away with it, including in the first Benn fight.

Unfortunately, he’s slipped even further and came uk against a busy, fit, hungrier and younger fighter.

I think the weight played a factor on his offence and his general legs and strength. I think the resilience / balance when taking shots might be an age factor.

He reminded me of DLH vs Pacquiao - now Freddie Roach was adamant that he could see DLH like that when not drained vs Forbes (which is why he suggested the fight). There was no bounce in DLH vs Pacquiao and he seemed to shuffle in a similar way to Eubank was doing.

What I don't believe for a second (unless it was something entirely different - e.g. illness in the run up) that Eubank thought "it would be alright on the night" - he must have looked awful sparring - and if he didn't spar cos he was recovering from bout 1 then that says it all and he should have cancelled the fight. Eubank has never given me the impression that he would be like Ali when sparring and just soak it up to get fight tough. Whilst it was obvious that Ali was "gone" in the latter part of his career - he could also say "that's how I have always sparred for years".

Not read or heard anyone saying something else , Chris , could of got old overnight , the weight drain could of finally took its toll , but lets remember chris has made that weight for quite a while now its certainly not his first rodeo is it , 6 months ago he went to war for the full duration at the same weight , does one hard fight take it out of you possible , but not often , tactics Connor got it right everyone is throwing bouquets his way , but he was allowed to , Chris just cpould'nt get his feet right , he was slow and sluggish and really he made Conor look a lot better than he is .

I,m just wondering , with Chris and bomac probably expecting a war , and preparing for one , if Chris just simply over trained and left it in the gym , he would'nt be the first , theres a fine line between over training and under training , symptoms are the same,

Troy Williamson is getting some stick online as he sparred with Eubank and Benn for this fight and some people suggesting he told the Benn camp what was going on in the Eubank camp. He said he predicted a Benn stoppage so guessing he could see Eubank wasn't right in camp.
