No but in stand up fighting, Khabib came out on top. That was supposed to be Connor's strong point.
Khabib landed a right hand. Is it fair to assume you're just a khabib fan more than mma? Because boxing the best wrestler in mma is quite different than not worrying about a take down. Khabib knows he couldn't beat conor boxing. If Floyd had 1 Rd boxing before it switched to mma he'd stop khabib in a minute.

How so? He landed one right hand which dropped connor anything other than that khabib took it to the floor and zapped connors energy there,he didnt beat him at stand up at all,go back and watch and you will find McGregor is probably the only person to win a round against khabib.

No chance khabib lasts 11 rounds with Floyd. If it was 6 then 6, he'd gave a slim chance.

He wouldn't last 1 if Floyd had to wrestle him in 2.
Yeah, but that's not going to happen. Floyd's always going to dictate terms as he's the cash cow here.
Of course, just laughable someone thinks khabib could survive 33 minutes boxing with Floyd to grapple him down 3 minutes later. Exceptional stupid
Yup. Floyd basically walked Conor down, and pretty much waited until he fancied it then beat the crap out of him. Conor is one of the better strikers in stand up mode, and even on the rare occasions he did land, his shots were way too telegraphed for a world class fighter not to anticipate it and ride or partially block it
I've no doubt Conor could KO Floyd if was allowed a free shot, the problem isn't power, it's form.

Mayweather played with him for 25 mins. Which is a full MMA 5 rounder. MAC was gone at that point. Shattered. Then Floyd packed on the pressure.
He wouldn't last 1 if Floyd had to wrestle him in 2.
Floyd last stopped a guy in the first round in 1997. At 130. It's laughable to think Floyd could blast out Khabib in one round.
Bet he could

I'm sure Khabib could survive a round just by playing defensive and not throwing much. He'd also probably have 15-20 pounds on Floyd in the ring.

Surviving 1 round is easy if you don't trade and simply get on your bicycle, but trying to do that for 11 rounds or even 6 is a lot harder.

Well sure but the argument was that if Floyd knew he'd have to wrestle in round 2 then he'd just blast him in round 1. But it's really not that easy.

That was another boxer though. I'm pretty sure if he really wanted to he could do him in a round
Hmmm I'm not so sure... Fllud circa 06 yes... but a year ago Floyd faught some japanese kid who weighed about 130. He just clubbed him over really, and he kept getting up. A bigger guy could absorb Floyd's brittle hands a bit more easily. If Floyd could've got McGregor out earlier he would have, but as it turns out he had to gas him out, pick him down then have the ref stop him standing.

That's the argument? Lol, I absolutely think he would but that was far from where it started.

If Khabib just tried to survive the first round by not engaging and succeeded, it would be quite rough for Floyd.
Anyhow.... what do you all think of Stephen A Smith?

That was the argument that you and jamesmcdonnell were having that I was responding to.

Smith made an absolute ass of himself. In his response he tried to twist what he actually said. Joe was absolutely correct in what he said. Now whether he should have brought it up on his podcast rather than reaching out to the man himself is a different issue and I can understand if he felt slighted.
Just listened to Luke Thomas rant about it for a good half hour, which was quite entertaining in itself

Why does anyone listen to that stupid goofy looking muthafucker (Smith that is)? Anytime anything comes up with him talking I simply switch to something else.
I don't like Max Kellerman but I'd rather listen to him than that turd Smith who doesn't even possess half the knowledge about boxing that Max has.
