The first two fights were no-brainers; the third was a total waste of everyone's time, taking place almost a decade after the first two, didn't need to happen and did zip all for either man's legacy.

That's why I'm praying Fury wins. If the winner was going to fight Joshua next i'd still want Fury to win but I wouldn't be too bothered if he didn't. It's because i know a Wilder win inevitably means a fourth fight. I don't even want the third one ... No mas!

What I want is Fury to fight Joshua for all the belts and Wilder to fight Whyte to determine who the undisputed champion defends his titles against first. Fat chance of that happening.

come on bruhs, let's just have endless fury-wilder fights. i mean even if fury wins again, wilders always just 1 punch away right :yay:

If there was an endless sequence of their fights, The Big Dosser would turn crippled and would be forced to pull out of it in about 3 or 4 beatdowns.

Wilder Will Not Be Looking For One Shot With Fury, Says Sparring Partner

Former heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder will not be looking a single punch in his upcoming trilogy fight with Tyson Fury, according to sparring partner Stephan Shaw.

Back in February of 2020, Fury stopped Wilder in the seventh round to capture the WBC world title.

Their trilogy fight will take place on October 9th, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Last year, Wilder parted ways with his longtime co-trainer Mark Breland.

And then earlier this year, Wilder hired former foe turned close friend, retired heavyweight Malik Scott, to be his trainer for the trilogy fight.

Shaw has been sparring with Wilder to help him prepare for the fight.

"It's kind of cerebral. He's reserved, but he seems like he's at peace. He seems cool to me. It's not like, 'Grrr, I gotta get him back'. Nah, he's like, 'Fight night, they're gonna see'. He's all business, that's one thing I can say. I can't wait to see it, I'm excited," Shaw told The Sun.

"Hopefully we will see a different Deontay. With the different things that he's doing in camp and that Malik is adjusting and adapting him to, I see Deontay working on those things. It's only going to tell on fight night but he's definitely trying new things. He's not just trying to hunt you down with one big shot.

"I think one of the mishaps he had before was thinking, 'Guys have to be perfect for a whole 12 rounds, all it takes for me is one second to change the fight'. Even though that's true, it can go either way, it is heavyweight boxing and one punch can change the fight for Deontay or Fury. Trying those things and working on them and actually executing them on fight night is what is going to tell how this fight is really going to be. From my point of view, he's definitely working on new things."

Eddie Hearn has hinted about possessing insider knowledge suggesting that Fury-Wilder III won’t go ahead in October.

He made a similar prediction earlier on in the year when the original date for the bout fell through. And he was proven to be correct.

So it seems that Eddie is being unofficially kept in the loop.

Anyway, it’s getting to the point where enough is enough. The title is being held to ransom by Wilder and Fury.

Fury should be stripped of his tile, with Dillian Whyte elevated being officially regarded as the WBC world heavyweight champion.

If the Wilder-Fury III fight date in October is postponed again, then the WBC has to do something.

Because no one else in the WBC’s rankings would have received an opportunity to fight for the title for more than two years.

Whyte has recently threatened legal proceedings against the WBC if they keep him waiting any longer.

Dillian could end up becoming the 2021 equivalent of Graciano Rocchigiani, because his legal argument seems compelling enough that he might be entitled to damages that could force the WBC to go into liquidation.

And part of me hopes this happens.

I see it happening, at this point why not.

But all i ask is if it is canceled/posponed keep the undercard as a non PPV stand alone event in October, thats what i want to see and if they shift it back again ill cry.

Fury was KO'd int the first, if there was a competent ref.

He’s a top ref. And he told them in the locker rooms he was gonna give them both the chance.

Plus, after Furt got up, he dominated that round.

Name one other bout where you have seen any ref kneel down next to a boxer and start shouting a count in his ear waiting for him to respond and open his eyes. I'll wait.

So let me get this strait, your argument is that he got down close to take a look and determined he was ok enough to continue counting, then fury made the count, answered the questions, showed he had his legs, won the rest of the round, and that is your damming indictment of the decision to do so, and proof that the fight should of been stopped… great insight.

Because they’ve sold a shed loads of tickets that are due a last minute refund due to covid restrictions so the numbers for the casino, and reputational damage of an empty arena, don’t add up.

That’s why it might not happen. We’ll see.

Sad but true.

Look, I'm simply asking for a similar situation in the history of boxing, where after a 2nd kockdown where the guy hits his head on the mat, lays there motionless with eyes closed, and the ref kneels down beside him and starts counting, while the guy's eyes are still closed! Why is that so fuking hard to comprehend?

Hey! Credit for Fury for getting up and arguably winning or at least tying the round! It should have been waved off! What's next, waving smelling salts in front of his nose? Get a grip.

I thought Wilder should have been stopped vs Ortiz, and he was still on his feet. Not a Wilder hugger. Just calling BS.
