thats why guys have to actually fight the fights and not just win them in fantasy, its the ones that werent expecting that can get you.

It seems Whyte does decent numbers himself.

Also, if Fury doesn't fight Whyte who would he earn as much facing? Joshua and Usyk, obviously, but other than that Whyte is probably his biggest pay day out there.

If he took 65/35 against Whyte he'd probably earn more than an 80/20 split against Parker, Chisora et al.

I'd have Fury as a big favourite but it's still a live heavyweight fight I'd really look forward to and I hope they do a deal.

I agree that he's not the most elegant to watch. He looks clumsy and off balance a lot, but none of that matters, he does the single most important thing in boxing and that is.... find a way to win.

Yup agree, he’s so much bigger than most they struggle to get to him and when they do he gets those octopus arms all over them.

Usyk will manage to show us where he really stands.

I'm picking Usyk to beat him the same way I did with the Joshua fight. SRL and Tyson say boxing is 75% mental and when the first bell rings, I haven't seen anyone as focused as the Ukrainian for a long time. Fury is big, he's has plenty of skills and he loves the mind games, but I think Usyk will take him.

Only in boxing would 5m for a chance to win the biggest title be classed as not enough. Who the fornicate is whyte anyway? He’s B level. He should have took that first offer. By going to bids and having an issue with the split, he’s showing his intentions.

Why do we need to work out what a fight would gross? It’s supposed to be a sport not a rock concert. Tbh I hardly watch or pay much attention to boxing now it’s pretty much a joke these days with the politics. I used to hope for the day the likes of Arum dropped dead but Eddie is cut from the same cloth. He follows their model.

It DOES seem like he's demanding a lot, but always the chance he could end up on life support, so I don't blame him.

Whyte might be a slightly harder night’s work than Wallin but even an under prepared unfocused Tyson should cruise to a win.

By all accounts his preparation for Wilder was very patchy and if he can deal with a dangerous guy like him then a limited slugger like Whyte should pose no problems.

The build up with Tyson taking the mick out of Whyte’s tired old roadman shtick will be great entertainment, the fight less so

It’s the wording of these ‘press releases’ that gets me. You just know, like when AJ was supposed to fight Fury, that they are going to do all they can to scupper the fight. Truthfully, Hearn will be hoping that AJ beats Usyk and Tyson slips past another journeyman so he can take cream off the AJ v Fury fight. He wants Whyte to get a belt but not the fight with Fury. He’s not daft. He is completely self serving though.

Is Eddie trying to delay things so it doesn’t clash with AJ v Usyk ? At one point it looked like both fights could be Late March / early April.

I really doubt that. no way AJ vs usyk is march, doubt it will be april... then wont be early may (canelo dates)... Late may early june i recon. Eddie would be keen as a bean to get Whyte vs Fury on in march or early april, however i dont know if he has figured out the financials. If he bids less than 25 million whyte gets less than he has already been offered. it takes 50 million bid to get whyte what he wants. only bids worth making are somewhere inbetween and i just dont know if dazn wanna be bidding that much, to pay another networks fighter 80% of it, and gamble a UK PPV attempt/no american involved subscription show.

Bob and Frank must know Fury is a great talent but that the wheels may come off at any moment. I thought they threw him in with Wilder too soon. They really need him in with C grade type opponents or the biggest money makers. The guys in between, like Whyte, are exactly the kind of guys he might take lightly.

Having said that Fury had a hell of a time in the run up to Wilder III so perhaps it's unfair.

Eddie is implying that if purse bids happen tommorow, and the appeal changes the split, that the purse bids would still be valid you would just change the split %.... surely not.
