He has back to back losses. He needs a confidence builder IMO.

Totally agree. There is no shame in losing to Usyk and I thought Joshua boxed really well in the rematch. Ordinarily, I would say that if you are boxing that well at top level then no need to drop down a level.keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑09 Jan 2023, 07:19He has back to back losses. This isnt an anti AJ post, but isnt Mckean at least a lower enough level for a confidence booster? He looks crap.big lennox wrote: ↑09 Jan 2023, 08:11Totally agree. But, his reactions to both defeats to Uysk have been a bit odd, so think a confidence builder and space to breath is the most sensible option. In some ways, I do wonder if packing it in might be the best option: enjoy his wealth and help the young guard come through and still make a positive contribution to the sport.
Fair point. Maybe Sefer Seferi is free?mickey1975 wrote: ↑09 Jan 2023, 08:15This isnt an anti AJ post, but isnt Mckean at least a lower enough level for a confidence booster? Fair, but I would draw the line with a fight like this being PPV and i suspect it would be.keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑09 Jan 2023, 07:19He has back to back losses. He needs a confidence builder IMO.
Its already been confirmed anything with AJ will be PPV, even if he ends up like Danny Williams.Twinkle Toes wrote: ↑09 Jan 2023, 08:48Fair, but I would draw the line with a fight like this being PPV and i suspect it would be.keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑09 Jan 2023, 07:19He has back to back losses. Yea, the win over Seferi was crucial in Fury's career and was the first defence of his lineal title.mickey1975 wrote: ↑09 Jan 2023, 08:42Well, that route certainly worked, didnt it?keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑09 Jan 2023, 08:38Fair point. Wasn’t it Seferi, Pinata and then the undefeated, avoided Wilder that almost everyone on here said wouldn’t happen and he would definitely lose if it did?keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑09 Jan 2023, 08:52Yea, the win over Seferi was crucial in Fury's career and was the first defence of his lineal title.

Superb matching, full house, no ppv, back under the lights. I bet team fury wouldn’t change a thing.keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑09 Jan 2023, 09:59That's the one we're talking about.mickey1975 wrote: ↑09 Jan 2023, 09:36Wasn’t it Seferi, keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑09 Jan 2023, 08:52

Ahh, ok. So you're saying it's OK for AJ to fight Seferi?mickey1975 wrote: ↑09 Jan 2023, 10:29Superb matching, full house, no ppv, back under the lights. I bet team fury wouldn’t change a thing.
If it’s non ppv and he does a number on Fury or Usyk one fight after I’m fine with it. Eddie has already said he could box Umar IFL Umar and it would be ppv so no chance of that happening.keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑09 Jan 2023, 10:31Ahh, ok. This fight isn't for the likes of us posting on boards. To the casual eye, McKean is a great big lump, on paper the same height as AJ, who AJ can feel confident against and beat up. I'm sure the weigh-in photos will get some PPV's in, and there's more than enough AJ fans to do something like the o2. Just get the comeback out of the way. He hasn't even got a trainer has he? Get out there, bang out the Horizontal Australian, and then slide into a proper camp for the summer.mickey1975 wrote: ↑09 Jan 2023, 08:15This isnt an anti AJ post, but isnt Mckean at least a lower enough level for a confidence booster? You're fine with him beating Fury? I think, based on the fights alluded to, 'doing a number' means fighting to a controversial draw.keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑09 Jan 2023, 11:16You're fine with him beating Fury? Why not? He's on a two fight win streak. The Gratest wrote: ↑09 Jan 2023, 11:36I think, based on the fights alluded to, 'doing a number' means fighting to a controversial draw.keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑09 Jan 2023, 11:16You're fine with him beating Fury? Anyway, there's no way Joshua v Seferi gets made. After the epic historical Fury v Chisora trilogy, Seferi might be hoping for a rematch for the Lineal Title Belt.
A few on his record are definitely known, just known as journeymen. Think Rice is probably his best opponent.big lennox wrote: ↑09 Jan 2023, 14:50 AJ vs Demsey Mckean
And we thought Fury vs Chisora 3 was a miss match?
I had never heard of him until today and I've not heard of anyone on his record.
I guess, this is DAZN trying to squeeze out as many Joshua fights as possible.
AJ has sparred with McKean so that follows this theory...
