They tried to make it in the UK back in April. Fwank even had Wembley booked..only Fury forgot to book sparring partners, a trainer, a training camp. He didn't forget to pack his suitcase for a holiday in Tenerife and for Saudi to watch Tommy though....Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑16 Jun 2023, 02:24 They all relying on Saudi.
Forget them.. make the fights here in the UK.
His fanbois then claimed he was being smart and holding out for the huge Saudi money, that he was even going to do it solo, dump Fwank and Bob.
Now the story has changed...Fwank, Bob and Fury, now all happily still together, knew there was no Saudi money and the other fighters and promoters have all been duped. A bit of a contradiction, but then Fury is a walking talking contradiction, so quite easy for his fans to get confused in their eternal struggle to cover all bases.
IMHO, I think the Saudi's were probably looking to stage it as per the original rumoured plan; a 4 man tournament of sorts, with winner vs winner in the final bout. However, if one of the fighters doesn't fancy it (maybe the choice of opponent?), then it all falls apart. If that's the case, then Hearn is probably now trying to save face, making up shite. It would be such a kick in the balls to have to be relying on the participation of a rival fighter whose erratic behaviour probably drives his own promoter nuts, and an even bigger blow to have to admit it.
