Thankfully no British ref involved so the fight was allowed to develop properly without being stopped as soon as one guy takes a decent couple of punches

I disagree with this massively. Ngannou proved himself competent but Fury allowed him a lot of success. Other than the knockdown, it was mostly down to Fury looking awful.

I think Ngannou will lose a lot of boxing match ups obviously. And Fury will just retire now with his tail between his legs. I’m surprised it took this long for a wheel to fall off the bus so to speak. I just don’t think Fury will have the confidence to risk his unbeaten record against anyone with a pulse. To think Lewis got so much criticism for that final war with Vitali. And here is Fury scrapping a SD with a 37 year old debutant!

The body language in that interview with Usyk was hilarious. Fury looked embarrassed to say he was actually going to fight and Usyk shrugging it off knowing there was not a chance he is going to fight him

He's done well to go as long as he has with his lifestyle really, what age did Hatton hang the gloves up. I thought he looked nervous before the fight, maybe he knows he hasn't got it any more, hence why he has swerved the big dogs an top contenders for so long.

Yes you’re right. It’s really a bit of a miracle he lasted this long as the supposed number one if all he’s been doing is messing around in Morecambe and doing little half-hearted jogs up and down the prom. I don’t think he’s lived the life at all since the Whyte fight 18 months ago.

The Fury camp dont like it up em. John couldnt wait to get away in his chaufuer driven suv (keeping his t shirt firmly on). Fury himself refused to do the post fight presser. Warrren has said no chance of Usyk in December.

Fury was all over the shop in the 3rd wilder fight, i'd say there was an abvious decline there. After this debalce, he looks pretty much done, probably would beat Ngannou in a rematch but that appears his level now.

Joshua and Usyk would give him a beatdown.

Awful fight. Fury did slightly more. Ngannou impressed by staying calm and boxing intelligently. But it was a bad fight. Fortunately the undercard saved it with an enthralling fight for the Lonsdale belt.


I'd put Wardley in with the solid but beatable Kabayel for the bone fide European title.
