I just want now for Usyk to do another year or two and give the young mandatories their shots. Saudis are getting these things moving, hate them or love them

It was a tricky fight to score I think a draw would have been a fair result but salute to Usyk!

Fury threw that away, when he was on the offensive he looked decent, the body shots were landing and over the rounds would’ve worn Usyk down. He showboated and stood off too much and let Usyk tee off.

100% wasted opportunity with the show boating, those early rounds were tricky to call!

That’s his mentality. His ego comes first. He looked to be fighting scared in some rounds and the bravado was maybe a gee up. Usyk is the ultimate competitor. He looked pretty down in those mid rounds but fck me he roared back…

I felt Usyk shaded the first quarter (wide open to interpretation), Fury dominated the second, 7 and 8 were close, and then Usyk didn't drop a round. 113 was peak generosity to Fury IMO. Usyk's P4P one of the greatest heavyweights without question.

I thought Fury might catch him in the middle rounds to unlock a TKO, but I was fairly confident it'd follow this pattern if he couldn't. I didn't hear if the standing count was allowed prefight? Unofficially a TKO9 if it wasn't.

I assumed the count was given for a knock down because the ropes were the only thing holding Fury up at the end. Though I also thought the ref wasn't the greatest in those 30 seconds, Usyk almost had to push him out the way at one point so he could continue his attack.

I’ve got a bet on. It will probably just go on council tax and British Gas if it comes in unfortunately. Dunno how old you are but I haven’t half changed in my 30s. So it goes
50 in December. Scary stuff! I’ve not bet for years but I’ve a feeling that to operate at the very top level you should (in theory) need to be a lot more professional than Tyson Fury. I’ve not checked, but possibly this will be the first time he’s faced someone with a top line amateur background. I’ve got a feeling Usyk’s skill level might be a bit of a shock to the system!
Smashed it mate. I think the fundamentals won out

To be fair I did lose my bet - I went for Usyk by stoppage - and the fight did show Fury is awfully talented and clearly lost a good 10-15% of his best level by not living the life or competing against the best more.

I lost mine too, DQ either way at 50s was too good to say no. I’m a bit annoyed at Nelson tbh, gonna rewatch now to make sure but I think he was very lenient with TF
