Yeah. It's been set for the 9th for over a week. Hopefully happens this time. I applaud Dana's tenacity.

Just saw an ad on ESPN. We're good.

What a card it is. I'm sceptical to say the least given the debacle before with ancient tribal lands and secret islands. There are a few major countries easing lockdown restrictions now though so maybe he's got somewhere legit :maybe:

Edit:. Just read it's in Jacksonville Fl

It's a done deal. The island is for international fights.

This just seems like an awful idea. Fighters will have to put themselves at risk and/or have compromised, half-assed camps.

The fighters disagree with you.

I mean I understand. They don't get paid if they don't fight. But I don't see how any of them will really be at their best under these conditions.

We'll see. I think it's going to be great. Some of these guys could benefit from less physical camps.

It will feel good to return to normal.
How long until boxing promoters stage an audience-less PPV? :OhYes:
Everybody is waiting for Covid to pass, but it will return in the Fall. I don't know how long it will be until we are able to meet again in crowds.

Boxers are too overpaid to go without the live gate.

At 8:30 Joshua talks about the prospect of fighting behind closed doors, the prospect of fighting Fury behind closed doors, in the unlikely occurrence that Wilder and Pulev agree to step aside. I think that would be ideal! :TU:

I would be content if I saw only one more bout this year. if it was Fury vs Joshua. :OhYes:

I don't think we'll see any fight of that magnitude this year. Only one? That would be way down my list.

Obviously talking boxing. UFC is about to go apeshit.

Yes because I want there to be just one heavyweight champion at this novel moment in history.

Yeah is probably a long shot but I think, come on Wilder and Pulev let the fight happen. The people deserve one champion!
Oh well back to the subject, at least we know who the heavyweight champion of the UFC is. https://www.mmafighting.com/2020/4/29/2 ... ipe-miocic

Yeah, Joshua/fury isn't for this thread.

Sorry I get carried away sometimes thinking about this stuff. I just to had to put it out there into the universe now I will never mention boxers in this thread again. :salut:
(edit- Fury vs Wilder is now pushed back until 2021 because it necessitates a live audience and Joshua vs Pulev is to transpire behind closed doors. Or in Saudi Arabia - It seems the boxing promoters aren't ready to give up yet on a live audience. :D )

Think I’m gonna have a little bet this weekend, been a while since I’ve lost money on live sports. What do we reckon on Cejudo for the stoppage?

(Any advice that helps me win money will be rewarded)

Details seem sparse mate but they did not have symptoms: Covids still a big problem clearly.
