Surprised he's not offered Froch out for a dust up on the Cobbles.
I think Smith is conflicted over Froch. On the one hand he respects his career and toughness, on the other hand the fierce competitor and warrior spirit in Smith yearns to prove himself the better fighting man and to force Froch to give best to him, an alpha like Smith simply cannot abide even the implication that another man is his equal

Ultimately though I think he suspects that whether Ina straight or dirty go, a fight between he and Froch would mean neither man would ever be the same again, Smith doesn't want that to be his legacy like Holmes had with Ali, so he cuts Froch some slack.

Froch was on Soccer AM today and actually mentioned his 80,000 spectators - I reckon he will be going round later doing a headcount with one of them clickometer things!

My Son only has time for football, he's never shown any interest in boxing, but he will be watching this tonight with his mates, just shows what a crossover fight this is, how many casual fans it will reach.

When there's a 'big' fight it's amazing how it just eclipses all other sports. It was the same with Mayweather-Pacman.

That fight proved over-hyped and i fear this one will too.

So many will just tune in for that one fight and then turn even further away from boxing if it disappoints.

I don't know if AJ will gas but I want him to win for the sake of heavyweight boxing. There's no way I fancy the 'Klitschko era' being extended by a couple of years tonight.

Tend to agree with Bellew's take on the fight though.
