If Conor Benn wants to fight in America would it be under USADA? It’s interesting that the other dodgy Conor - Conor McGregor - has been told by USADA that if he wants to go back in competition he needs two clean drug tests over a 6 month period. McGregor has clearly bulked up on every anabolic under the sun in his absence from sport.

Looking back on Conor Benn's last 5 opponents with hindsight with current records, which have been the ones that Hearn has stated confirms how good he is:
  • Sebastian Formella #39 (23-3) 33 y.o- Coming off a loss so known not to be a huge threat. Has a win against #15 in the division but none others in the top 100, he has also now lost 3 of his last 4. Feather fisted.
  • Samuel Vargas #200 (32-8) 31 y.o - 3 wins in his last 9. Very feather fisted. Zero significant wins that are still active.
  • Adrian Granados #? (21-9-3) 32 y.o - One win in his last 5, 3 in his last 10. Way past his best. Zero significant wins. Feather fisted.
  • Chris Algieri #retired (25-4) 37 y.o - Feather fisted. Way past his prime. Semi-retired.
  • Chris van Heerden #42 (28-3-1) 34 y.o - Feather fisted. Legitimate fringe top 50 guy but getting old.
And then there's Pacquiao...
  • Manny Pacquiao #retired/top 10 (62-8-2) 44 y.o - Retired boxer and former senator. Naturally from a much lower weightclass. 1 KO since 2009. Started his pro Career before Benn was born. 3 inches shorter than Benn.
If those aren't the opponents of an insecure boy who doesn't rate his own chin or power then I don't know what is. Hearn is gambling his reputation to earn Benn money.

It’s a bit mad. I don’t know why Hearn is so desperate to stage what will probably be a one-off big event. I think Benn will look much diminished and it will end up as some sort of double embarrassment. I can’t think Barry Hearn is really on board with any of this.

He’s done an interview with Piers Morgan that is going to be shown on Monday night. This kvnt has got no shame but they say ‘no publicity is bad publicity’. I know you shouldn’t hate anyone without knowing them but it’s hard to with Conor Benn.

Has Piers Morgan interviewed anyone but guilty narcissists on his new show? Benn, Kanye, Trump, Tate, Ronaldo etc. Not exactly the best company to be in, plus you have Piers Morgan backing you which is rarely a good thing.

this entire saga is doin my head in !
The board knew he failed tests for weeks then pulled the fight at the death , then nobody really says anything for weeks other than benn protesting his innocence . Now the wbc have cleared him and provided some dodgy excuse to do with eating too many eggs - which benn is saying is a pile of tosh ! so FFS if its not bcos of eggs then what is it !
Now Hearn talking about getting him licenced for a fight in the next few months maybe UK or elsewhere .
Total BS .
I just dont want to see him in a ring anymore .

I think so too.
The first Paynard fight I think changed things for Benn.
It was a wake up for his team that he may not be all that.
From then on it was a drastic change in physique and attitude, and his opponent selection became soft hitting.
Heck, Paynard wasn't supposed to be much of a hitter.

Benn on Piers Morgan… WTF.

It’s ironic that prior to the positive tests his profile was nowhere big enough to get on this show.

Not only is he unrepentant about being a drugs cheat, he’s bloody benefitting form it…

Not every carefully matched boxer acts as entitled as him demanding that people should rate him up with the best in the world with that record and is given a PPV platform as a novelty based on nepotism.

Next step is his tell all book 'Eggcised' and an Oprah special.
Then a South Park episode devoted to the Egg Monster being captured and persecuted by a PT Barnham character.
