Did anyone see the Steven Ormond vs Zoltan Szabo fight? Szabo won 5th round KO but does anyone know how the fight was going? In the rematch Ormond is 1/14 while Szabo is 6/1....

I seen it Szabo bad Ormond down in the first round and stopped him with a body shot in the fifth as you said but apart from that Ormond was in charge for the majority of the bout. Them odds are very good for Szabo as he was able to land good shots throughout the fight between them so 6/1 for a repeat is good value

Bernard Hopkins seems attractively priced for his final bout - e.g. 4/11 at Ladbrokes.

What does the board think ?

Haye rounds 1-3 @5/2
Luis Concepcion to beat Kal Yafai @13/8
Personally think the chance of these coming in are odds on.

I'm not sure about that one. At first glance this guy seems tailor made for Hopkins but Bernard actually has to throw punches. If smith makes him work for it it could be interesting.

Ormond looked the better fighter and won pretty much every round.
Szabo looked very heavy handed. If your betting on Szabo go for the KO for better odds as he doesn't beat Ormond on points.

Troyanovksy KO
Gassiev WIN
BJS KO
Commey KO

23/1

I'll have a daft fiver on that.

What do people think of Shafikov v Commey?

Look sets for the distance but I might go for Shafikov stoppage I think 5/1 is a decent price.

Just read that Shafikov took a split decision over Commey in Moscow. I had actually doubled my previously mentioned bet last night, so good start to the weekend for me.

Who's the best for in-play betting on the boxing, lads? I'm with William Hill but couldn't find anything for Lebedev/Gassiev or Saunders/Akavov.

Just got Alfonso Blanco to beat Hassan Ndam at 5/1 on Paddy Power, and it's already dropped to 3/1

Pro's
Beat Degale, Artayev, Singh, Sutherland in the amateurs, World Championship siver medalist, Olympian, unbeaten Pro, easily beat Khomitsky and Ndam looks on the slide.
Cons
In France, relatively untested, slipped of the radar and inactive recently.

But confident of a good Christmas on this one.

I've gone for Ward to beat Kovalev via decision. Even if Kovalev slightly edges it on our score cards. Ward will still get the decision in Las Vegas. I've done that bet with 2 sites where you get your money back as a free bet if you lose.

I've also put a large sum on Scarlett Moffatt to win I'm a Celeb @ 5/2. I cleared up when Rylan won CBB. I knew channel 4 were going to do everything possible to make sure he wins. As they were going to offer him a job at channel 4. Same thing with Scarlett Moffatt. She's extremely popular and now out of a job. She'll win I'm a Celeb and then work for ITV afterwards.
Wow, not often you're absolutely spot on. I thought Kovalev edged the Ward fight. As they were in Vegas, Ward won the decision as predicted. Scarlett Moffatt did win I'm a Celeb. In fact, ITV were getting complains at how much air time they were giving her. They've also stated today they've offered her a contract (so have channel 4).

Backed Mason Menard at 5/2 against Raymundo Beltran has since gone down but see good value in that as Menard has impressed me each time I have seen him and Beltran has been around a long time could be there for the taking

Picked out a few bets for the weekend, stand out one is Callum Smith to beat Luke Blackledge in rounds 1-4 which is priced at even money.

Dillian Whyte to win by decision is 15/8 and Hosea Burton by TKO is 15/8.

Also like the look of Luis Concepcion at just under 2/1, I think it's a big price in what is a massive step up for Kal Yafai.

Where are you getting that price?

4/7 on Bet365.

You mean 7/4

9/5 can be had with BetBright and BetFair.

Sorry yes, i was looking at the odds last night and read them the wrong way round haha :brick:

Wish i'd have realised, I'd have had that in a treble along with Whyte decision and Burton decision.

There's decent bits of value, I think Smith to get rid of Blackledge inside four is a massive price. Blackledge nearly got knocked out by Elvis Dube last time out, if Smith is a serious contender he should be wiping out opponents like Blackledge.

Currently I've got a treble of Smith 1-4, Whyte dec & Burton TKO - pays 12.10/1 on Sky Bet.

Will also back Concepion as a single and I've a weird feeling Allen will go the distance with Ortiz which is 7/2. If you disagree Ortiz by TKO is 1/3.

I don't usually go for longshots but I like that one, so I'm shamelessly tailing at +6331.

Going for an outside treble

Chisora stoppage
Buglioni stoppage
Conception stoppage

£5 treble at 153/1

Will also be having £10 bet but not picked anything yet
