I see Marc Goddard was in the wars again in Abu Dhabi

There are some who are starting to think it’s no coincidence he seems to be involved in a lot of issues with fighters

I can confirm, having known him, that he is a dick. I don’t think it’s a coincidence, he’s way too intrusive and interested in being the centre of attention.

Shahbazyan just the latest UFC prospect to be pushed up the ladder too quickly.

I know he was somehow ranked #9 in the UFC rankings but those rankings are trash. Brunson is a long-time top 10 MW with big power and excellent wrestling and there was no need to match a 22 year old prospect that tough.

Yep. Poor kid was well out his depth and got quite beaten up in the end. He came in with quite the reputation, but can't say I'm familiar with him at all and I watch most events.

He KO'd Brad Tavares last year which is how he got ranked, but Tavares was on a 16 month injury layoff and actually hasn't won a fight in a really long time now, so I think that win may have flattered him a bit.

The only fights I enjoyed were Luque-Brown and Vannata-Green. All the others were underwhelming.

I enjoyed McGregor's butt thoroughly kicked by Habib. I guess I just acquired a bunch of foes.

I think Lewis probably wins via KO. Oleinik always has that chance to pull a submission out of nowhere but he's old and slow as dirt and should be an easy target for Lewis's bombs.

Also looking forward to Akhmedov/Weidman and Dariush/Holtzman. The rest is meh.

Oleinik Nearly had him round 1..

Lewis took no chances though in rd2

Shit card, the two mains were like four of the slowest fighters in the game, sloppy and almost unwatchable.

I dated a girl from Paisley a few years back who claimed she was his cousin, said he was hard as nails and could school half the fighters in the ufc. She was a blether overall anyways so probably a load of shït.

I thought Oleinik made some really bad decisions in R1. He was on top twice and both times went for that scarfhold submission which is going to be extremely low percentage against a guy with a 35 pound weight advantage.

I actually thought all of the fights except for the women's fight were entertaining. I have nothing against WMMA but Stoliarenko was awful and Kunitskaya's gameplan was baffling. I'm not sure I've ever seen someone accept the clinch so readily and dominate the pummeling exchanges with no intention of actually landing takedowns.

I was watching golf all day. I'm a fan of Weidman so I flipped that on, he's incredibly slow now. Turned it back off before the main event.

Oh I dare say he can handle himself, he had a half-decent career back in the infancy of British MMA and he’s always trained since then (BJJ black belt I think), plus he has had the odd cycle here and there if I don’t miss my guess...

I think I'm passing on this card. It's pretty good, but maybe not quite $70 good. Most of the undercard bouts are solid but nothing is can't miss. One more high-profile fight on the level of JDS/Rosenstruik might have pushed me over the edge.

$70? Jesus Christ. I always knew you guys paid more for your PPVs, but I didn’t realise you were being gouged this much!!!

Yea it's brutal. I'm pretty judicious with my PPV purchases these days. Hell I haven't bought a boxing PPV since Golovkin vs. Jacobs.
