Mark Tibbs did an interview where he was relaxed, clearly looking forward to the fight, etc. and then when the ring size issue was brought up he switched into acting mode. It was as clear as day it's just head games and promotion.

I’m not sure Eddie would have enjoyed Billy Joe’s dad discussing how his son has been treated in the same discussions as to how the nazis were with the Jews.

Also not sure he would have enjoyed Tom asking people to get refunds for their tickets/DAZN subscriptions.
I might be wrong but I think they are all playing a role. That's why Billy is not doing the talking. He's focussing on the job in hand while all this nonsense is pedalled.
I think you’re giving Eddie too much credit. There’s no way he’d want all of this nonsense going on just beforehand. Same with Chisora on Saturday - Del Boy’s just a bit crazy and Tom Saunders is seemingly ignorant.

It’s obviously just mind games. Everyone tends to be respectful to Canelo, like they always were to Wlad. Even if it helps 0.00005% it’s still worth trying

Like guys who switch stances too much this could wind up just bothering Billy Joe more than Canelo, Canelo won't give a flying one if Billy doesn't turn up to a presser a few days before the fight, the Fury Klitschko thing went on for a few years, Canelo won't be paying his behaviour much mind, he's just the next opponent

Tyson and his team were rightly super critical of what the Klitschko camp were doing. Having a memory foam mattress under the ring was well picked up on by their team and it was rightly removed.

This isn’t like that. It’s them coming across as whiny and childish.

Why isn't the ring size tied up in the contracts ??

It probably was. I believe BJS is saying 22” wasn’t made available to him. It wasn’t between 16” to 20”.. and he chose 20”, then later found out Texas allows 22”.

I don't get it , at the time of signing the contract both sides should be in agreement of the exact size of the ring , then you don't get any of this nonsense .

It wasn’t in the contract they are saying.

Apparently 20ft is standard BBBOC ring size - so not sure what issue is. Same size Floyd/Manny used as well.

It’s weird that Billy Joe’s team are telling him to grow some bollocks when they’re the ones saying they’ll only fight if it’s in a bigger ring.

Billy Joe’s saying it’s on again as he’s jumped on Canelo saying he’ll fight no matter what so he’s taking that as Canelo accepting a 22ft ring.

I must be the only one who agree's with what Saunders is doing / saying ,,, Canelo is the one fooking about , if its not meat , its rehydration clauses , or Canelo weights , followed by his own judges , now its the ring , fook him Billy if you don't need the money WALK , let the world know its Cheatelo's fault , and Hearns should be putting his foot down and saying 20-22 foot ring end off ,,, but then again , a phone call to the texas board to see what ring size is allowed BEFORE they sign contracts should of been made ,,,,, then again HEARN is BJS promoter he should of known and sorted it ,

Don't like Saunders , would'nt mind see him getting sparked , but not in this case i dislike Cheatelo more ..

Also just read on facebook its been called off BJS and team have had enough , read that 2 minuites after i read its on ..

Guess Hearn can't complain now about Billy not doing any publicity

Jim Borzell first reply
When I was the president of amateur boxing in NY in the eighties, there
was this wild Brit fighting out of the Jerome Boxing Club in the Bronx.
He was a limited fighter who was a willing gunfighter and would step in
with the top talent we had anytime it was offered to him. While never
becoming a NY champion he was always fun to be around. When his mentor
and trainer, Adonis Torres, passed away the boy was devestated. He
apparently went back home to continue with what we thought was to be a
limited career. Of course he grew up to be Chris Eubank who I can tell
you has plenty of fans in the Big Apple.
Regards,
Jim

Hearn said after the Yildirim bout that he wanted the three judges to be English, Mexican and neutral. But Texas said that’s not allowed.

Instead they’ve just chosen judges that NSAC chose anyway.

Only one judge has never been at a Canelo bout. Feldman is a regular but at times has seemed fair.
