Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑15 Feb 2022, 14:26Hearn on Khan-Brook: Will I Sit Down and Watch It? Probably Not; Both Guys Are Finished
“When I was trying to do the deal, it was a very different fight,” Hearn told SecondsOut. “When I was trying to do the deal it was for a world title. It was a fight that was a blockbuster. Still, people want to watch the fight, I know.”
“I’m interested to know who wins,” Hearn said. “Will I sit down and watch it, probably not. Of course I want to know what happens now. It’s intriguing now. Both guys are finished. You just don’t know what’s going to happen. When I was trying to make the fight there was so much more at stake. Now, it's almost like a shake of the hands. ‘Listen, let’s just do it.’
Asked if he believes the fight is simply a “money grab” Hearn responded, “Of course,” while adding that money grabs are a part of the business.
“I’ve been involved in money grabs,” Hearn said. “But [Khan-Brook] is [a money grab]. It’s just the two of them going, ‘Let’s not be silly. This is massive money for the both of us. Let’s make the fight, mate.’
“But they are both 50 percent the fighters they once were. But it’s still going to be a 50-50 fight. I still look at Kell and it looks like he’s training hard. Kahn doesn't look particularly sharp or great, but he’s going to give it his everything.”
He’ll be watching and he’ll be hating that it’s not him involved.
I get tired of promoters (Hearn is definitely not the only one) who can't stop themselves shitting on everything that happens in boxing which they don't have an interest in. Why not try and build the sport instead? Or at least stay out of the way for once.

I think he bought into his own hype.
Everyone was saying to him he was "special" and "the special one".
Unfortunately Kell didn't realise they ment retarded.

Opinion here seems to be shifting to Khan. Worth remembering just how frail he has looked the last few years, wobbles against everyone. Remember Sammy Vargas landing a left hook round the 10th and Khan was out on his feet?
I just expect Khan to jump on a dead Brook and do him before Kell gets chance to get anything off.

Power Prices on Paddy Power at the moment:
Brook stoppage in round 1-6: 7/2
Khan stoppage any time: 7/2
You could argue betting on both makes sense, but I’ll just be on the latter.

Is Brook as fragile as the Crawford jab might make us think? Like you say, Khan has been dumped by some far lesser punchers and much smaller men.
I can see your scenario playing out. But Khan is one shot away from disaster.

Khan has obviously long been fragile around the chin, but with Kell I think that has just happened, judging by the Crawford fight. I think the fast starting Bolton man finds the decisive punch first, I’ve gone for him by knockout 9/2.

World title? Hearn made offers for this fight.
He used to claim that Brook was his "mate" but not making a single penny off the Crawford fight finished that great friendship.
Now he claims Canelo is a "mate"

Tbh i'd be gutted if Khan beats Brook. If this fight had happened when it should of Kell would have splattered him. Khans waited it out and now its a toss-up to see who is the most shop worn.
This could end up a farce of a fight.

I haven't seen it but an old boy in my gym used to do that. If the sweat didn't taste salty he said you were over-trained. Sounds feasible. He might just have been a pervert, though.
p.s. "Kell Brook has never failed a drug test" Dom Ingle 2022

Where did you get 9/2. Does that cover TKO as well? It’s 7/2 on paddy power.

Miss by how much?
Every pound over is £100k. Then he’s gotta make the rehydration the next day as well.

No one got time to wear suits anymore.

Brook seemed punchy as heck and nervous in that Gloves Off malarkey. They should learn to turn the chairs around the right way, one day they might learn, I think Mayweather did once.

It's probably just tissue swelling from wearing headguards regularly. Surely he's not been in a proper training/training camp for a very long time. Probably not used to getting hit again.
