Seems to big a step down to me, ok he lost to Usyk but the last fight he looked pretty good and he didnt get battered or anything. Should go straight for Whyte IMO. He would probably win easier than last time and it would sell well.
Eddie wants to leave AJ-Whyte in the oven for a little bit longer.
Maybe, be a big summer stadium fight in the UK, I think Zhang or Hergovic would both be easy work for AJ too and both ranked highly.

All I know is if this Dempsey McKean guy goes more than four rounds with Anthony Joshua this will have been a big mistake on the part of Eddie Hearn having selected the man as Joshua's first opponent back after losing the titles.
If Joshua does not absolutely wreck this man it's going to make him look worse than he already does. After all nobody knows who the hell this guy really is with the exception of hardcore boxing fans. So if some no name boxer lasts longer than four rounds with a two-time former heavyweight champion they are going to wish that they went straight after Dillian Whyte instead.

Yep. The IBF mandatory is second in line behind the WBA/Dubois. Crazy how that’s happened considering Joyce’s wins.
So will potentially be undisputed, then WBA, then IBF. Or Hrgovic will be fighting for a vacant title following the undisputed.
Fury has said he won’t accept the IBF belt considering how they dealt with his mandatory post Klitschko (in reality it was his team who messed up) but Tyson talks more rubbish than anyone. If he does vacate it straight away then could be Hrgovic/AJ for it as Hrgovic is one, then Ruiz and Wilder, followed by AJ.

If he does fight McKean, I hope Hearn doesn't have the temerity to put it on as a PPV.
I don't think the fans should be asked to shell out to watch Joshua beat up one of his sparring partners.
If he is that desperate to beat up McKean, he can do it behind closed doors.
I get the confidence argument, but if he is lacking confidence to a degree whereby he would seriously consider beating up a sparring partner in public, maybe he needs some time away.
