Two-fold, everyone knew about closing the Strait (well except MAGA), but also now by way that at the whim of an Ayatollah they can destroy any number of US military and Gulf State oil assets.
This guy is excellent! It's a cult with zero ideology other than to follow their master. When Trump changes his mind (and he has) they go right along with it. Examples: cannabis and Mamdani all of a sudden aren't so bad. Why? Easy. Pro cannabis donors sent Trump money and kissed his ass, and Trump being almost certainly latently gay, has a bit of a thing for Zorhan.
This one also has a lot of truth to it, but I think the Left eggs them on somewhat. Way too much emphasis on this issue from both sides. Some of the trans stuff is legit, but some of it may be attention getting.

There just doesn't need to be any additional Political opinion about Trans people honestly. They're allowed to exist. They're allowed to get Married.
That's it. That's all they need. If they need more, tough sh*t. We don't get more, they don't either.
I don't know of any Trans rights issues currently being made a thing of in Politics at the moment anyway. It seems like it's a problem that doesn't really exist that people won't shut up about.

The Trump campaign spend $215,000,000 exclusively on anti-trans ads. That's why he's president. MAGA's attitude is basically if "they" think there are more than two genders, how could they possibly be correct on anything else? Ads showing a trans "girl" tackling a real girl is a very effective ad.
Liberal churches here have signs saying, "God Loves Trans Kids." Playing right into it.
I personally don't give a shit about this issue, other than it elects Trumps and in the future, Vances.

To me the issue is that they picked out a powerless group and directed all the hate they could muster towards them, people who really can't defend themselves against such an onslaught. Totally agree with the part I highlighted. The Left could totally diffuse this issue, by saying children should not be making life changing decisions by themselves. Sadly the Left is simply too dumb to do that.

The Unelected Autopen did a comparatively better job than the current dipsh*t is doing. Though granted neither of them did a good job exactly.
One of them wasn't trying to actively f*ck things up though it didn't seem.
I've never seen a circumstance where a Politician routinely costs people money, puts the safety of their country in jeopardy and disrespects almost everyone at some point or another and gets applauded for it.
Politicians will be driving themselves crazy for the rest of our lives wondering why they can't get away with half of what Donny did.
Or hell maybe someone will come along and get away with more. Racism and Stupidity seems to be the keys to the kingdom for Conservatives.
