Not sure why there was so much hype about Miocic vs Cormier 3. 2nd was conclusive, the third was just a damp squib. Pedestrian fight.

I dont know what was wrong with Miocic in that fight, damaged Cormiers eye so he could barely see out of it then moved away from the injury. He won handily but did not press the advantage he had gained with that obviously deliberate eye poke. Strange fighter.

Felt for O’Malley but shit happens and Vera took full advantage, well done to him.

What aren’t you sure about? It was a trilogy fight between two excellent champions of course there would be hype. I didn’t really enjoy the fight but that was mostly because of Stipes lack of killer instinct.

I think I'm just bored of the GOAT talk from these pricks every fvcking week. I mean, try hyping a fight without declaring the competitors as the fvcking greatest that ever lived at something. Personally I don't think DC is a real Hw, for the ufc to be touting him as potential goat depending on the trilogy is laughable; he's not even the best LHW & Ngannu would toast him in 10 seconds. The fight was as lacklustre as the promo, and neither of them really seemed to care all that much.

He’s got some superb wins at heavyweight. I hate the GOAT nonsense too the sports still in infancy but I imagine it happened with BKB back in Sullivan’s day too and with Dempsey etc just not as visibly due to social media we have now.

I totally agree on the fight.

Thank God Stipe won. Cormier was insufferable when he won it the first time.

The most impressive part of DC's career is that he didn't even start fighting until he was 30. Back when the sport was in its infancy guys like Randy Couture and Dan Henderson were able to get late starts and still make it to the top, but for a modern fighter to do it is pretty much unheard of.

Very true. I’ve never seen someone rag doll Hendo like he did. Barnet was an excellent win also.

Both were helped a lot by 'supplements' though. DC's career was impressive as hell though, all things considered. It must be really difficult/frustrating being and arguably always being second best through your entire competitive career though. He's always on the podium but barely ever first it would seem.

Vadim Nemkov is for real. Pretty good argument for him being the #1 LHW in the world now.

Definitely for real, no argument for that.

Just watched three of his recent fights he’s very well rounded. Couldn’t say he’s no1 till he fights better comp but very impressive fighter.

How can you rank him ahead of Reyes who arguably beat Jones?

by only counting actual wins and not arguable ones?

Who has Nemkov beat? Reyes has far better wins on his record.

i was being facetious, if you're gonna argue rankings don't do it on arguable wins bro :shame:

I just think that Reyes should be ranked above Nemkov based on past performances. Nemkov only just got his first big name on his record so I don't understand why he would be ranked above Reyes who has beat a lot more quality fighters and performed better against Jon Jones than anyone outside of the first Jones-Gustafsson fight.

Because it's only "arguable" and Jones has declined a lot.

Reyes doesn't have a lot of quality wins at all. He beat:

- Weidman who was 1-4 in his last 5 and had never fought in the weight class before.

- Oezdemir and OSP who were borderline top 10 fringe contender guys.

Who else does Bellator have to test Vadim?

Him and Reyes would be for the number one spot now that Jones has vacated. Obviously a long way off that one.

That's the problem, they don't have much else for him. I assume his first challenger will be the winner of Davis vs. Machida. Then maybe Corey Anderson assuming they can get a win under his belt?

You are forgetting Cannonier. That is a really good win.

Cannonier was never even close to a contender at 205.
