I agree that the weight issue could be a deciding factor with regard to Brook's punch resistance - but if it's anything like what was on display against GGG then he should be able to take his shots. Spence needs to KO him to get the W because if it goes to a decision I doubt he will get a good one in Sheffield.

The thing is, odds will mostly be dictated by where the money is being wagered. Casual UK boxing fans are unlikely to consider the weight or eye issue, and not that many will know of Spence, so there will still be much more money being placed on Brook over here.

fair point, 5-2 at the minute for spence stopage, can see spences long straight punches aggravating brooks eye again for a corner retirement but who knows ? good luck whichever way you go

I covered the same type of multi-bet up to round six on the Price Hammer fight but unfortunately for me Hammer won in the 7th round. I think this time it looks to be a much better money lock.

If this fight does go ahead then there could be a good opportunity for arbitrage betting.

Right now the UK bookies have Brook as a slight favourite, whereas other companies marginally favour Spence.

As the fight draws closer expect the UK firms to shorten Brook's odds, conversely lengthening Spence's odds, as the money piles in from the UK fans for Brook.

You can get odds against for Brook at MarathonBet, and come fight night it will be worth betting on Spence as his odds will be greater than the 11/10 currently on offer from the UK big four. This should allow a small wager on a draw while still shaving a profit.

I can't see it going the distance at all. Bellew couldn't stand up to Stevensons power. Soon as Haye hits him he's humped. The odds are higher than I thought they'd be though.

I stuck £40 on Haye by KO rounds 1/3 @ 9/4. I think I will stick something on a KO in R4 also. I can't see Bellew going more than 4.

Odds for Haye KO were slashed across the board today. People recognized the bookies odds were way out. IMO betting on Haye is like buying money!

Anyone fancy Thomas Williams Jr to pull off the slight upset and beat Marcus Browne tonight? Browne was less than impressive last time out against Radivoje Kalajdzic, was dropped in the 6th, offered very little offensively in the second half of an 8 rounder and without the incorrectly ruled KD in his favour in round 1 would have drawn on the cards. He didn't seem at all comfortable being pressured by Kalajdzic, choosing to continually hold in a very scrappy fight. Williams Jr has a couple of stoppage losses but won a war vs Edwin Rodriguez, had his moments in another war against Adonis Stevenson and is a decent puncher. In my opinion Williams Jr is good value at 11/8.

Adrian Granados (+285) vs Adrien Broner $100.00 for $285.00

Man, that was a really close and competitive fight! Granados brought the fight to Broner and lost a split decision in Cincinnati with two Ohio judges. I don't regret my Granados bets one bit, since he could have easily gotten that decision, as one judge gave it to Granados 97-93, one to Broner 97-93 and lastly one for Broner 96-94. I wish I could have bet split or majority decision props like I mentioned in my previous posts as Granados has only lost by a split or majority decision and likely would have won that way. Unfortunately those weren't offered anywhere I saw. Because the bout ended up being only 10 rounds not 12 like originally expected by most sportsbooks, my two different round 10-12 props were voided. At least my Not Adrien Broner inside the distance and over 9½ rounds wagers cashed so I didn't lose a whole lot. I would bet Granados again at those prices in a heartbeat.

Bute has much more pro experience and fought much better competition than Alvarez and has been very competitive even at this late stage of his career. I got my money back when he went to a controversial draw against Badou Jack last year and he held his own against James DeGale in 2015 on the way to losing a wide UD. Bute never served much of a suspension for testing positive for Ostarine after the Jack fight where he looked suspiciously energetic even in the late rounds for a 36 year old man. One could look at that this two different ways as it may mean he's off the sauce and clean or cynically I'll suggest he could be cycling better so as to not get caught this time. This fight is also apparently taking place at light heavyweight, so that's perhaps not Bute's optimal weight class. But he's actually taller than Alvarez and only giving up 3½ inches in reach, plus he has the southpaw advantage. In summary, I like him for a small play at this price as this is by far the best fighter that Alvarez has ever faced and But will most likely have the crowd behind him.

I doubt they do, I think the bookies follow the money and everything I said is online so they would have done their own research , with that being said if Bute is @3.75 on pp that means a points must be higher maybe 4.5.
