Haye would have had far more chance before this fight happened.

Joshua will have learned a heck of a lot tonight.

I think what is most surprising is how poor Whytes right hand was. AJ was gassing in the 3rd and a decent fighter would have probably got him out of there. Fury would box his ears off.

Re: Wilder - Stiverne a much best test than Whyte but Wilder had 30 odd fights by then.

Joshua isnt going places though. . . Haye or Fury beat him easiy
Nonsense, did he go down? Would you say the same about Wilder he is WBC champ and had some hairy moments in the last couple of fights?
Nonsense, Both Haye, Fury, and Joshua all beat Wilder. . .no head movement fron AJ. . . . plodding after taking 1 shot from a British level fighter. . . good finish but i dont see the heights people predict

believe the sky and matchroom hype people but hes not as good as they suggest
He's not as bad as you suggest too. Whyte is above British level.

Go back to Brixton with your postcode gang.

Does anyone see Joshua's true personality seeping through? There's the manufactured PR mask, and the yobbish street lad that keeps popping up behind it. And that imperial summoning of the promoter when he wearied of the interview was pure prima donna.

Good fight. Nice KO. Two awful young men.
I think the needle between him and Whyte has brought something out in him, possible his real self. I think he could have finished it in 1 if he wanted to there, but he was a bit arrogant and wanted to keep it going.

Whyte's best chance was the third round but he just wasn't seasoned enough to keep the pressure on.

There's been hints of it throughout his career, in my opinion.

Fun guy to watch but devoid of charisma, just this generic 'street' personality, and a little grabbag of forced PR 'nice guy' soundbytes.

Agree. The double analyst thing didnt work, but it did show Watt up as drivelling some load of pish versus some well thought through analysis from Malignaggi.

But no one took the WBO title seriously in that era.

Surprised anyone takes it seriously today to be honest. Amazing that a few good fighters holding it in the contemporary era has led to the old fights being somehow 'legitimised'. I guess Herbie Hide vs clubfighter Damon Reed and journeyman Willi Fischer now enters the history of the world heavyweight title?

Lennox Lewis was clowned by cruiserweight Ossie Ocasio and was made to look bad against
Jean Maurice Chanet also. Fighters improve as the opposition improves.

Dillian Whyte is a good fighter. He was always going to pose problems but Whyte putting
up a battle is no negative reflection on Joshua. :box:

Don't get me wrong, I don't like Wilder, but he has taken some shots and looked shaky but is a World Champ. I certainly wouldn't make too many judgments based on this.
He certainly has but no shots of anything from the level off the 3 mentioned above. . . . argument over. . . get off your AJ hype train an face the facts please
