March more realisticaly, gareth davies said that frank has the stadium in cardif booked mate march... If the deal isnt made soon that becomes undoable.

if you win a purse bid, how soon can you put a fight on? is there a limmit to how quick you can force it? (obviously if both parties agree you could have it very soon, but if whyte claimed it was too soon and wanted more time, could they force him to fight in 7.5 weeks time?)

being the pessimist i am, i wont be shocked if no big heavyweight fights happen befor late may....

You’re probably right re: May. Certainly can’t see it being March now.

Re: February, Tyson made it clear that he wanted another fight ASAP after the Wilder fight and wanted to stay active. If the WBC had sorted the mess out in a timely manner then purse bids/negotiations could have happened November time.

Let’s see what happens. I don’t really care who fights who out of the 4 of them - I just want to see some good fights!

I think this might be the case.

Despite all his rhetoric, AJ has never definitively ruled out taking step aside.

I think if he could trust fury to fight him after(if he wins) he would of stepped aside by now. But I don’t know if he can.

Plus If they do fight after it almost certainly won’t be undisputed because if whyte steps aside he will want a garentee at wbc soon, plus iBF will be due soon, and all the rest.

People are acting like it’s a neat “step aside then fight winner for undisputed later this year…. It might be a lot of things, but it’s not that.

When Joshua talks about options, I suspect the main one is whether he'd be expected to fight in the meantime, and whom. That's a long time to be inactive otherwise, with Usyk-Fury unlikely before May.

So I think it's a much harder call for him if Whyte's manoeuvred in, rather than a tickover. At this point that's a fight he might lose, and then wish he'd rematched Usyk.

Besides the regular noise, I don't see any problems making Usyk-Fury, which I'm sure is what both want. But we need Joshua and Whyte to sort out alternatives that might not be each other, despite being what most fans would be happiest with.

I still wouldn't mind Fury-Whyte, but there you go. Be surprised if it happens.

Hearn will win the Purse, Fury will bottle it, and Whyte will fight for the vacant belt.

You never know what’s going to happen but if DAZN buy BT Sports (and not just certain contracts) then they’ll be liable for the contracts BT had I.e. the deal with Warren. You might be right though in them trying to get it done for the start of April so Frank wanting to get Fury on PPV before then. It may also be that Tyson himself has been vocal about wanting to get out again quickly and end of March will be 6 months since Wilder 3.

I think that the only way it doesn't get postponed is if progress has been made with the Whyte-WBC arbitration that we don't know about yet. I assume that's the only reason that it keeps getting postponed as we know the WBC doesn't tend to make decisions that may favour Whyte very often. However, I still doubt it as there has been no news of that leaked. I expect it to be postponed again. Just wish the arbitration would be concluded more quickly.

Yep - today’s the day for purse bids but who knows if they’ll actually happen. I expect the purse bid to be delayed again.

Apparently Joshua has been offered £15 million to step aside.

He has until 5pm today to accept it.

However, he has asked for an extra £5 million, with £1 million of that going to charity.

Currently he is being told no.

Of course, there is no way of knowing how much of this is true!

FGS Joshua - take the step aside, find a new trainer and have an easish fight with your new trainer - Trevor Bryan or someone like that. You got outclassed by Usyk, Usyk a notoriously slow starter, was not behind for a single second of the fight.

As you say "no excuses" - already if you lose there will be loads of genuine excuses - "not enough time to settle with the trainer" etc.

Take the money, have an interim fight and then fight the winner - simples.
