Most of what he posts about future match-ups ends up happening (he's said today that Essomba-Bourke for the European batamweight title is on the cards for this summer for instance).

He's posted that he's been told that last week the WBC knocked back a request for a Fury defence vs Wladimir.
Which means precisely s0d all
Thanks for that

I've managed to post on this forum for nearly 20 years without telling anyone to fornicate off - so congratulations. My post had no more or no less substance than any of the dozens of other posts on this topic, so your sarcasm didn't seem particularly warranted (nor "classy"). Frankly, it got right on my tits.

Putin? Maybe they thought Usyk should get the bout first so he can bash him up on behalf of his fellow Ukrainians.

At this point I’m kind of suspecting that as none of the novelty mma fights are coming off, that Fury is basically retired and the soft Chisora defence is his last fight.

Really strange comment as there have been hundreds of WBC championship fights featuring all of the great names and he didn't choose any of those :KO:
[/quote]

He chose the current WBC holder cos that's the only one that he can earn money off at this time .. it's not difficult to understand.

The more you look at Nik Valuev's reign the more similarities are there.
Plus the physical likeness - them both being big, bald, ugly and not too bright looking (no evidence Valuev is actually as thick as Fury)

Fury is currently facing his hardest opponent ( Boxing fans around the World) and losing very badly, judging by all the comments across social media platforms.

Mind you, it's a tough sell to say that " no man born from his mother can beat me" and then avoid one's toughest competitors.

I am struggling to remember when a boxer has fallen from grace so spectacularly because of cowardice.

Joshua has ducked a World title fight for the second time in 9 months and you ignore it.

It’s an odd state of affairs. He appears to be keeping reasonably in shape but mentally I think there must be a lot of doubt and undulating levels of confidence. I suspect his career is more or less over, and Chisora could well have been the final fight.

I'm inclined to agree. I don't quite understand his motivation for popping up on social media to say a fight is done and then follow it with nothing.

I guess he is trying to keep his name relevant. But the absence of his boxing coach suggests that his boxing training these days is to keep fit( no bad thing at all) rather than any serious prep for a fight.

I would be very surprised to see him fight again and, if he does, we couldn't rule out Chisora 4 or something similar.

That would be really sad if that happens, wasted talent, if he had beaten the likes of AJ and Usyk he may well have been regarded as a top 30 or 40 HW of all time.
