There is some truth to this, but it's also important to note that the crisis was a solved problem well before election day, and that most of the people who thought it was a huge issue had never encountered one of these migrants in their lives.

I actually had friendly run ins with many Venezuelan immigrants. Guess I'm just wired different.

Yea most of my interactions were with (presumably) Central Americans trying to sell snacks on the subway. Not exactly terrifying stuff.

Worst any of 'em ever did to me was ask if they could hit a joint I was smoking. I was a Hotel one time where several of the Venezuelan immigrants were apparently being put up on the Government's dime, and it almost seemed as if they were doing like 12 hours at a time in one of the rooms, some of them were just always outside smoking cigarettes and stuff.

This was in 2023 so it was definitely the Biden administration when there was an influx of immigrants that much is certainly true.

That is sort of what I meant. It never was a real problem at all for me. It wasn't really affecting people's lives very much. But it was something that Trump could and did make hay out of.
