Bute points
Vargas rounds 4-6
31.50/1 on PP

This happened a few years ago on Betfair with a little group setting up a private forum to swap ideas. The trouble was that as you suggest nobody really knew who they were talking to so any info gleaned would always be taken with a pinch of salt.TheLeprechaun wrote:
I think there should be a separate part of the forum for betting threads and people with a certain number of posts are only allowed on. Nothing stopping the odds compilers from setting up and account and eventually joining but it would make things more difficult. You'll be lucky to get the 3.75 on Bute points now
Yeah I meant decimal, 4/1 is 5.00. I'm pretty happy with that price. I should of jumped on to 3.75 like Jim but to be fair I dont see Bute join get a light heavyweight in the top 15. I just think they are gunna rob Alvarez if it's close.TheLeprechaun wrote:MattCoke wrote:Bute on points is 4/1 with paddy power.TheLeprechaun wrote:
They opened up at 4's. So there is no way you got 5's.
I'm good mates with one of their traders, know him from college.
That's what i'm saying. Maybe he mean't decimal odds though?
Its only 4 rounds, even if Benn loses he will get the decision.JimGunn wrote:Just added a little underdog stab on a bout on the UK card on allegedly Friday afternoon. I just read an article about this- Harley is Nigel Benn's estranged 20 year old son from his first marriage with no real amateur experience who, unlike his half brother Conor, hasn't been getting the benefit of his dad's championship experience and training. Worth a fade at this price.
Dominik Zubko (+1700) vs Harley Benn ~$29.88 for ~$507.88
More than likely, but Nathanial Wilson (Eubank's estranged son) only drew with Josh Thorne (1-5) in his "big" debut. That said he was pretty crap.MattCoke wrote:Its only 4 rounds, even if Benn loses he will get the decision.JimGunn wrote:Just added a little underdog stab on a bout on the UK card on allegedly Friday afternoon. Not sure about that. His famous dad is not in his corner and I have no idea who his trainer is or if he has any big promoter behind him in this pro debut.MattCoke wrote:Its only 4 rounds, even if Benn loses he will get the decision.JimGunn wrote:Just added a little underdog stab on a bout on the UK card on allegedly Friday afternoon. allegedly/Queensbury promotions are promoting him on a 3 year deal, this fight is also at super middleweight and Benn is fighting against a middleweight and weighed in nearly 6 pounds heavier than his opponent.JimGunn wrote:Not sure about that. He won, he didn't look good though he looked like his never even trained in a boxing gym before. His clearly to small for his weight and needs to drop down a division.JimGunn wrote:Not sure about that. I agree, he looked raw. No way should Benn have been such a massive favorite over a boxer with more experience than him and a couple of wins despite getting the second round TKO.Jmashyaka wrote:He won, he didn't look good though he looked like his never even trained in a boxing gym before. You were so unlucky man, you did the right thing but just got unlucky, I had Jones by points but I knew he was overrated just wasn't sure if Poxton could be the one to upset him.JimGunn wrote:Jones' corner throws the towel in round 10 after two knockdowns. I always preach about never only betting the prop when backing an underdog and to put some on the moneyline too, but I broke my rule on live betting here.
Yeah, luckily it was only small stakes for a big payout. So I didn't lose much at all, just didn't gain a lot like I could have. Next time I'm hitting the dog at +750 or whatever it was instead of the decision prop alone at +1000 though.Jmashyaka wrote:You were so unlucky man, you did the right thing but just got unlucky, I had Jones by points but I knew he was overrated just wasn't sure if Poxton could be the one to upset him.JimGunn wrote:Jones' corner throws the towel in round 10 after two knockdowns.
