The max I could put on was only £20. You can get evens 1-6 for a Haye win (so not as good value) at paddy - max is £50.

Jake Bonallie (+1250) vs Craig Glover ~$30.53 for ~$381.56
Decent Amateur from Sunderland. Bit late to be turning pro at 28 but with odds of 12/1 it's got to be worth a small play as it's also over 4 rounds.

Selby ITD and round 7-9 prop cashed and then Davies ITD cashed nicely, but then Paulie got folded with a huge body shot not long after I threw a little on Eggington by decision live, so lost on both sides there. Sam Eggington Points Victory Or Technical Decision (+152) vs Paul Malignaggi ~$53.76 for ~$81.72.

if my maths is right, if you put down 100 each for rounds 1, 2 and 3, even if the lowest odds of 7/1 came in you would be returned 800 for a 300 stake. Which is a lot better than 2/1 for round grouping

edit, you can't get those hills odds now.

Betfair had a special sign up offer of 5/1 on Haye just to win in the adverts. :witzend:

I figured long ago to never bet on Haye fights. I had a feeling the fight would drag out longer than expected.

The bookies have made a killing tonight. :TU:

I already have a lot of bets on the big Thurman/Garcia fight tonight, but since they finally released the point spread I was waiting for I'll throw down a little more:

Danny Garcia +5½ points (-115) vs Keith Thurman $57.50 for $50.00

They bloody didn't 48% of people betted on Bellew who was an underdog by quite some margin.

What a day of boxing! Huge underdog wins with Tony Bellew and debuting fighter Jake Bonallie. Danny Garcia lost the split decision, but it played out almost exactly like I thought and my over, point spread and Thurman split decision hedges covered. My mostly underdog betting strategy continues with 7.83 units total profit between the UK card and the CBS card.

Tony Bellew (+550) vs David Haye $100.00 for $550.00= $550.00
David Haye wins in round 1 (+1100) $15.00 for $165.00= -$15.00
David Haye wins in round 2 (+700) $20.00 for $140.00= -$20.00
David Haye wins in round 3 (+650) $15.00 for $97.50= -$15.00

Paul Malignaggi (+205) vs Sam Eggington $100.00 for $205.00= -$100.00
Paul Malignaggi/Sam Eggington Draw (+2000) $10.00 for $200.00= -$10.00
Live In-Play Sam Eggington Points Victory Or Technical Decision (+152) vs Paul Malignaggi ~$53.76 for ~$81.72= -~$53.76

Ohara Davies wins inside distance (-138) vs Derry Matthews $55.20 for $40.00= $40.00
Ohara Davies wins in round 4-6 (+400) ~$12.80 for ~$51.20= -~$12.80

Lee Selby wins inside distance (-135) vs Andoni Gago $54.00 for $40.00= $40.00
Lee Selby wins in round 4-6 (+300) ~$10.24 for ~$30.72= -~$10.24
Lee Selby wins in round 7-9 (+230) ~$12.80 for ~$29.44= ~$29.44

Jake Bonallie (+1250) vs Craig Glover ~$30.53 for ~$381.56= ~$381.56

Danny Garcia (+200) vs Keith Thurman $100.00 for $200.00= -$100.00
Danny Garcia +5½ points (-115) vs Keith Thurman $57.50 for $50.00= $50.00
Danny Garcia/Keith Thurman Over 10½ (-198) $79.20 for $40.00= $40.00
Danny Garcia/Keith Thurman ends in round 7-12 (+330) $35.00 for $115.50= -$35.00
Danny Garcia wins by split decision (+1000) $10.00 for $100.00= -$10.00
Keith Thurman wins by split decision (+850) $15.00 for $127.50= $127.50
Danny Garcia/Keith Thurman Draw (+2200) ~$10.24 for ~$225.28= -~$10.24

Danny Garcia/Keith Thurman will have a knockdown in the bout (-118) ~$51.20 for ~$43.39= -~$51.20
Danny Garcia/Keith Thurman both fighters will be knocked down (+900) ~$12.80 for ~$115.20= -~$12.80

Erickson Lubin/Jorge Cota does not start round 8 (-143) ~$44.80 for ~$31.33= ~$31.33

Chad Dawson (+385) vs Andrzej Fonfara $100.00 for $385.00= -$100.00
Chad Dawson/Andrzej Fonfara Over 8½ (-130) $65.00 for $50.00= $50.00

Sub-Total= $492.50
Sub-Total= ~$291.29

Total Profit= $783.79

Probably like a lot of you I have retreated to lick my wounds after getting stung by backing Haye. Again, in my case as I also took a hit with 'toe-gate'

Once again Haye had me convinced he was going to smash his opponent in short time and I lumped on. Thankfully my Haye- round 1-6 bet at evens would have been much bigger if I hadn't been restricted by bet size.

Anyway enough of all this. As a gambler I appreciate that investments can go down as well as up, so any tips coming up??!!

Two hard hitters with a lot of KOs squaring off on this HBO middleweight main event Saturday evening. Lemieux is considered the better boxer and should surely be favored, but you can't say that Stevens doesn't have a clear path to victory, especially if he catches Lemieux early. They've been talking a lot of trash on social media, so I expect fireworks. Not sure if the line will keep going up, but I bit for a smallish bet at this price on 5D reduced juice:

Curtis Stevens (+340) vs David Lemieux $60.00 for $204.00

Andrade should really win this as he has all the advantages on every physical and experience criterion I can think of, but tiny bet on the home country underdog just in case something weird happens or there is a robbery in this world title fight in notoriously biased Germany:

Jack Culcay (+1000) vs Demetrius Andrade $10.00 for $100.00

Small degen play on a Japanese underdog in Tokyo Friday evening, mostly based on wiki capping. Quite a height difference of 6" between Amagasa and the shorter Usui. But on one of the Asian boxing websites Amagasa said the weight cut was "a bit tricky", although not as bad as when he fought Rigondeaux at super-bantamweight. Usui seems to have the better momentum since coming back from a brief retirement a few years ago. Small bet on Usui at +400.

Kinshiro Usui (+400) vs Hisashi Amagasa $25.00 for $100.00

In the main event on the Belfast card tomorrow, undefeated local fighter Jamie Conlan has several early KO/TKOs while his opponent Yader Cardoza has been stopped multiple times. Plus I believe that Irish and UK referees are liable to stop fights quickly for fighter safety reasons with the not infrequent incidences of boxers and MMA fighters there ending up in a hospital, a coma or even having died in the last few years. I'll take a chance on the under at + money even in this super flyweight bout.

Jamie Conlan/Yader Cardoza Under 8½ (+120) $40.00 for $48.00
