I'm not sure what the deal is with his cardio, yet. There were a lot of variables at play against Diaz. Definitely wouldn't hurt to work on it, though. He already knows he needs to work on his pacing against the bigger guys.

I think he'll be just fine. That said, a different training camp would be good for him. I know he's all about loyalty, but they're not really doing him any favors. He may as well be his own trainer and manager.
I saw him in an interview and he said that he had an adrenaline dump and did not handle his energy well at all. I am willing to buy that. I would doubt his cardio is lacking but I could be wrong. I just do not see him being the champ at 155 as his game stands right now. He would need to evolve more I think but I could be wrong. I thought Mendes handled CMac really well on the ground and I am looking at 155 and I think there are a lot of guys who could put him on the ground and keep him there.
he had an adrenaline dump, and that was the problem? i guess its understandable, not like he's ever been involved in a big fight before or anything
It happens. Especially since he was heading into the unknown. It felt like to me that he was trying talk himself into this one all along. That was a huge weight jump. Stupid fight to take. He should have taken the Pettis fight at 155 but even that would have been tough.

Agreed. Except not all the guys know the game perfectly in terms of marketing etc, but more are starting to latch onto it.
Yep. Dana was caught on tape once trying to hype the awful Daniel Cormier vs. Patrick Cummings fight. He said something to the effect that just starting shit the fans will eat it all up. The fight lasted like 50 seconds at best. It was the co main event.

True. Just look at the UFC Unstoppable press conference. They're all at it now!

Do you honestly enjoy the crap Macgregor spouts? I find it all a bit sad to be honest. As I've said the guys a decent fighter but hardly what his fan boys/girls make him out. I know you said you were 'inspired' by him but eff, the guy is pure trash. He just contradicts himself all the time. He actually gave up his back to avoid being punched...Something he would describe as 'a pussy move'.

As for an adrenaline dump, he'd be as well admitting he shat himself.
He does not believe half of what he says and if he would have just stayed at 145 he could have kept this up for a long while. He really blew it by taking a fight at WW. There is going to be a rematch at 145 with Aldo next. The RDA fight is scrapped. He can get some momentum back with another win over Aldo.

Go back and watch that first left hand land from Diaz. He might not have "shat himself" but reality came crashing down and he became what he coins "a panic wrestler" to quit and avoid further damage.

Every prospective opponent saw the same thing. When it got tough, he quit, plain and simple. Diaz called it before the fight, "rich kids shouldn't fight."

It will be interesting to see how he comes back from this. He looked for all the world like a defeated Siamese fighting fish in there Saturday night. After defeat, Siamese fighting fish go away and die.

I wondered what the recent references to 'Siamese fighting fish' meant  I totally agree, when he gets hit he reacts very badly in that fight. He gave up very meekly.

As I said earlier, I may come across more pro McGregor than I actually am because of the amount of negativity coming his way on this thread which leads me to at least try and balance it out. I am not a fan boy (Whatever that term means). I can see clearly and fully understand when he embarrasses himself just as I understand when he deserves respect.

And yes I take inspiration from success.
CMac was an apprentice plumber slogging his way through life when he realized you only have one go around here and he wanted something much different. He has a great story. Even if he never won again, he lived out his dream. How many people can say that?? He does all the other stuff so you talk about and hate him.Every story needs a bad guy. He is both a hero and a bad guy. He mastered this very early. You see him and nate after the fight? Nothing but love. They made 1.5 m. between the two and people on boards are all upset at him and others reveling in his loss. Like he said "Like me or hate me the thing is you are talking about ME."

Yep. And Edgar deserves it beyond anyone else at this point.

In the past two years Aldo has fought twice. A decision win over Mendes and a KO loss to Conor.

In the past two years Edgar has fought 4 times. Wins over Penn, Swanson, Faber, and Mendes. All but Faber by stoppage. He deserved the title shot before McGregor as well. If the UFC wants to do the decent thing, they should make the Edgar fight. It makes the most sense. Aldo may get hurt again, and he is just too inactive.... not to mention we already saw the fight.

Conor's coach is already saying they want Aldo. And the UFC will probably grant it.

Technically no, but only because he and Diaz weren't forced to cut any weight. They were both pretty much LW-sized for that fight.
Actually they both weighed at the WW limit. Where do you get your info from exactly?? Diaz weighed 170 and CMac weighed 168.

Aldo just got beat by Mr. HypeJob. Also has been largely inactive. Edgar has fought regularly and won every time out for quite some time.

If Aldo had a rematch clause then he should get the fight. If not, Edgar has earned his shot.

170. That is the weight Cmac and nate Diaz just fought at CMac weighed in at 168 and nate weighed in at 170. Nate talked about his desire to stay there and fight for the title. Dana said Monday that he will probably grant Diaz that shot. Nate will fight Lawlor for the title at WW at `170. Many are going to be upset especially Woodley but I had a feeling Nate would stay and get this shot after the CMac win. You can go through the posts I predicted that too. Who knows what you were trying to prove there by asking me that question but I am glad I could explain it out to you especially since I am superior to you in MMA knowledge and boxing cmon not even close.

Aldo beat Edgar 4 rounds to 1. The fight was not really close and Aldo was the champ for a long time and he deserves a rematch. Edgar can fight the winner that is the best way to do it and that is how it will be done if Aldo takes it and I would bet that he would. CMac is a hypejob? How so? He jumped two weight classes and 25 pounds to fight a guy who is about to fight for the WW title. He also was doing well in that fight and then wilted but he won the 1st. round even you would admit that. He also tore up nate's face. Look at his face it looked like he fell off ski lift for goodness sake. Aldo-CMac is going to bring in a lot of money. There is a lot of people who still are not satisfied. Let them settle it. Frankie can fight the winner. Best way to go.

When exactly did I say Lawler/Diaz would never happen?

Nate has been a career LW. You thought he had been a WW. Too easy.

Also, they weighed in at WW. So, how much did they weigh come fight time? Right, most likely right around the same they weighed in at. Had they fought at LW, they still would have come in around the same weight. The only difference here was that they did not have to drain and rehydrate. This is what he meant that they fought at a LW weight. Cause that's exactly what they did.

Most welters will weigh in at 170 and rehydrate 10-sometimes 20+ lbs. So, if Conor was truly facing a welter, he most likely would have been fighting someone who weighed around 185-190 lbs come fight time. This was not the case against Nate. They both weighed nearly the same.

The only thing sad here is that I have to explain this to you.

 the extent of your positive demonstration of knowledge has been limited to the obvious. You have been proven wrong repeatedly. You had no idea that Mr. HypeJob had fought repeatedly at 155 earlier in his career. You had no idea that Nate has been a career LW.

You called a (as in one) fight correctly so we are all supposed to defer to your extremely limited knowledge of the subject, most of which you have discovered in the last few days due to being embarrassed repeatedly for your lack of knowledge.

The difference between me and you is that I admit that I am not a mma expert, relative to some here (that are far more knowledgeable than you are). I comment based on my experience. I am also not a boxing expert, relative to many professionals and hardcore fans who frequent this site (also not including your lame ass).

You are a joke. You have been revealed to be a joke repeatedly. You have an inferiority complex that leads you to accuse men who do something that you could never accomplish of being cowards. Men who could tear you to pieces if you said those things to their face.

You are a sick puppy.
