Is Hearn trying to get Tony banged out? Has Bellew upset him somehow?

Tony you couldn't even stop a one legged fighter stood right in front of you.
This talk of the game plan working is making me sick.
No he didn't. Haye was up at 9, his corner pulled him.Horse wrote:He did stop him.TheDarkDestroyer wrote:Tonight I showed him?

I can't believe the nonsense I'm hearing. Bellew saying Haye's a great fighter but 'there are different levels of character and heart... name me a fighter who hasn't been hurt in a fight'. What an utter plonker.rd350lc wrote:Kilburn wrote:Eddie Hearn seems to be saying that Haye ran out of steam as per the original gameplan. Oh no now he is talking Wilder and Parker.
I limited my bet to a £25 loss because of the rumours, but yeah, it is.Asterix wrote:Because predicting an injury is outrageously difficult.

Did he officially , or was he retired by his corner ?Horse wrote:He did stop him.TheDarkDestroyer wrote:Tonight I showed him?

Yeah he was definitely relying on the left hand, its just not as seasoned as his right hand, mix that together with a man desperate for to prove everyone right and score a sensational early KO, you have a wild man which is what Haye was before the injury especially in the 1st round, I had him up by the 5 th but he was still poor and Bellew was doing nothing offensivelyDixonian wrote:Looks like you called it CounterPuncher, except he was favouring the left because of the right leg rather than the arm?Grilling Machine wrote:He looked apprehensive about something during his ringwalk to me...Counter-puncher wrote:Haye looks to be trying to dominate with the left i reckon his right shoulder is fucked
Haye would have been able to carry on. His corner stopped him, not Bellew. Which is what I said.Horse wrote:Stoppage win.TheDarkDestroyer wrote:No he didn't. Haye was up at 9, his corner pulled him.

I think the injury takes away from the shock value personally. I always felt injury was Bellew's only chance. But I will give Bellew credit for his boxing savvy in the early stages, even if he was on the way to a points loss.handsofstone wrote:Yeah he was definitely relying on the left hand, its just not as seasoned as his right hand, mix that together with a man desperate for to prove everyone right and score a sensational early KO, you have a wild man which is what Haye was before the injury especially in the 1st round, I had him up by the 5 th but he was still poor and Bellew was doing nothing offensivelyDixonian wrote:Looks like you called it CounterPuncher, except he was favouring the left because of the right leg rather than the arm?Grilling Machine wrote: He looked apprehensive about something during his ringwalk to me...
Also can I say Bellew deserves massive kudos for trying to close the show instead of cruising to a no doubt inevitable points victory![]()
One of the biggest shocks in my time watching boxing even with a Haye injury
Moving backwards his ankle just goes when he planted both feet.rossij8 wrote:The injury was in the ring tbf so kind of still counts
How was it caused? Haye swinging and missing?
Isn't that still part of the game?
Sort of, yeah, but is this injury not the reason why he flew to Germany to see that doctor?rossij8 wrote:The injury was in the ring tbf so kind of still counts

He was clearly injured from the start, that's why he was flat footed. The Achilles just went completely during the fight.Exoddus wrote:After the second round I said to my brother that I lost my Haye rounds 1-6 bet. He looked slow, his balance and timing was off and his accuracy was terrible.
Even without the injury Bellew was going to win imo.
