Thought I'd be watching this though My hands. Fury boxed with confidence from the first bell, was shocked the way he stuck it on Wilder
Return of the king indeed.
Apologies for any spelling mistakes I'm absolutely steaming in

Credit to Fury. He's done better with his career than I thought he would when he was getting knocked on his arse by Cruiserweights on Channel 5.

Ditto. I've shat on him plenty so his fans can have their moment, fine by me - I'm still just not buying into him though, his skillset just doesn't impress me at all.

I wouldn't be surprised if it were downhill from here for him, he will be 35 and just took a bad beating unlike before. He doesn't have great skill to fall back on once his athleticism slips. He can probably still KO almost all guys in the division though
It will be a tough mental comeback for Wilder. I would hate to be around when he watches the fight back. It was a sustained beat down.
Awkward

What are your thoughts on Wilder now then? You seemed pretty high on him before...

Fury was simply amazing. He really did what he said he would. I'm trippin'. A tough loss for Wilder. He got beaten post to post. Tough road back.

I’ve never been a fan of him either but come on, you have to give credit where it’s due. He’s good.

I was never "high" on him, I think he gets underrated and unfairly labelled a bingo puncher when in reality I think he has more to him, he has pretty decent offensive style that's certainly effective. I don't think Wilder, Fury or AJ have the kind of technical ability that would be anywhere near world level if they were average sized guys competing in any other division.
He was pretty poor vs Ortiz before the KO but at least he moved his feet, and controlled the range even when he was being outboxed- forcing Ortiz to take risks which paid off. Tonight he was completrly static, didn't move his head, couldn't move his legs. Who knows, maybe he was injured like he said, or maybe he's just shot.

Premo fight eh mate?
Way different than most people thought it would be. Undercard was cack, but the main event was way more exciting than I expected. Best HW fight since AJ Wlad
It may have broken a bit of Wilders confidence.

Agree across the board. It was pure domination. Best Tyson Fury ever. Shocking really. Never expected a TKO. Could see Tyson UD.

I'll always credit offensive fighters and tonight he took it to Wilder. So i do, but only to an extent, it wasn't exactly an exhibition in clean punching, he bullied, grappled and thudded down on a man 40 pounds lighter than him. Some folk go on like he's a giant hybrid of Floyd and Pacquiao. But that's fine, Fury fans can have their moment, on a win like tonight that's more than fair, I'm just not all that impressed in truth.

Guys,
How bad will this be on Wilders confidence?
The guy has been knocking guys out and proclaiming to be the baddest man on the planet.
His self belief, I think is a major part of him as a boxer.
He has lost his air of invincibility.
Could the first fight be the best we will ever see of him in actual top level fights?
Don’t think he’ll ever be the same

If I was Wilder, I'd asked for the rematch and hope to hell Matchroom offer me a huge amount of step aside dosh.

Is that a couple of drops of blood on Moretti's scorecard?

I know what you're saying but Fury fought perfectly tonight - he mauled him like a bear mauling a - I don't know - a tiger - he was just too big and too strong and he wore Wilder out - saying that - that punch that he caught Wilder behind the ear with was a thing a beauty - so accurate and bang on target and Wilder couldn't recover from it.
I thought Wilder was going to win but Fury boxed (mauled) perfectly and got the win against an extremely dangerous fighter, so fair fucks to the slaphead.

Some pretty poor excuses on this thread for the Wilder defeat.
Also some flip flopping from posters who were saying Wilder was going to beat up a fat Fury on the current scene thread. Yiu know who you are.

Wilder was ready to go after the knockdown in rd3.
He was saved by Bayliss allowing him to hold so much and it was ironic that he took a point off Fury.
