People pick him to win all these fights but still say he is British level and never give him any credit.

He IS British level. He definitely isn't above British level. Groves and BJS are both British fighters so it's pretty well proven. I could even see Fowler out boxing him.

An absolutely terrible day for Welsh sport yesterday; hammered in the rugby .. Williams pretty much humiliated by CEJ.

Gary Locket previously warned how Williams works himself up so much it works against him; last night demonstrated that to unbelievable effect. Williams was so tense that even a flicking jab shocked and put him on the canvass .. I been watching boxing a very long time and can't think of another example of such a light glancing punch putting someone down .. (excluding the Liston v Clay type conspiracy type ones).

Eubank got a clear win, and the summary will say he did so impressively with 4 kds and very wide scores. However the fragility of Williams was the biggest influence to that.

Eubank looked a different fighter last night. I am not convinced he was the best version we have seen of him. He demonstrated a good imitation of a latter day RJJ, and his work rate seems to have disappeared too. A true elite fighter would have had Williams out of there before the 5th.

Dubois looked like she could box to be fair. Although very frustrating to see her opponent pretty much shadow box instead of trying to actually put punches on Dubois .. the opponent never once threw punches she expected to land on Dubois.

And Claresa Shields .. if Katie Taylor and her are the cream of women's boxing then it should be hidden behind closed doors for a decade or two so it improves some.
Adam Smith must have some kind of sexual fetish towards women wearing boxing gloves .. you hear of such bizarre kinks; there is no other explanation.

Froch looked proper uncomfortable last night. Like he'd done a line of white bit to close to his talk slot. You could almost feel his effort to not laugh as that woman boxer gave opinion/ tips to the heavyweights

Yup I’d say he’s on the fringes. Euro level maybe but even the guys around that level don’t seem great. Wouldn’t be shocked if he starts fighting “former world title challenges “ like Quigley and N’Dam etc…

Just watched the show. Very much a mixed bag.

The Robinson fight was at a really poor level but was unexpectedly competitive so fine by me. Credit to the ref.

I enjoyed the Jenkins/Indongo fight.

Putting 2 uncompetitive womens fights on the main card, especially back to back, shouldn’t happen. I like womens boxing more than most but it has to be competitive rather than 2 complete mismatches. Also not sure why they’d put a package on Dubois showing their presenter is ‘fitter’ than she is.

The main event was pretty good. I still find Eubank frustrating to watch but Williams was just a level below.

The crowd seemed properly into it and I thought Sky/Boxxer did an excellent job hyping the Shields/Marshall fight. They’re definitely going PPV with it I think.

I enjoyed it. Good competitive fight. Although the old eubank would have blasted Williams out of the there in a few rounds.

Williams is the only guy he has beaten in the world top 20 on boxrec.

DeGale was ranked #8 on boxrec when he beat him

I had it 115-110 at the end, fight of two halves really, Eubank Jr looked excellent first half and shite in the second, early on his jab was really good, dropped Williams twice with it and his countering was in point, 3 KDs in first 4 rounds already Williams had a mountain to climb and was chasing shadows

Eubank switched off and started fannying about by the 6th though and spent too much time concentrating on making Williams miss and showboating, he stopped jabbing and counter punching and Williams started landing the occasional right hand, there wasn't much in the rounds but I gave Williams rounds 6-9 and the 10th even, Eubank got a bogus KD in the 11th, looked a push, the KDs were the difference in the end but Eubank Jr still thinks he's better than he is, good defensively I suppose but too much posturing for me

sky can talk it up as much as they want but this was shite and not in any way a precurser to a title shot .

It wasn't but with sky's backing he may get a title shot.What has happened to the Eubank throwing combinations and upercuts ?,that was worth watching.

Calling Eubank dross is very unfair, surely. He’s no world beater, but he travelled to Williams’ backyard and dropped him 4 times and coasted the whole fight.

Yeh that’s the Eubank we should have seen last night.

Eubank Sr didn’t look too impressed when they showed him during the mid-late rounds.

Although that’s probably his every day look.
