You didn't answer the question.

Nothing wrong with going bald. Almost every man at some time is going to lose a bunch of hair. Hasn't happened to me yet though, thank goodness.

As soon as I start losing too much hair I am going Hagler style. :OhYes:

Jon Jones Hires Richard Schaefer as New Adviser

In a very unexpected twist, UFC superstar Jon Jones has announced that he hired Richard Schaefer, the former CEO of Golden Boy Promotions, as his new adviser.

Jones had recently parted ways with First Round Management.

“I have retained Richard Schaefer as my advisor,” Jones stated. “Richard has been in the combat sports space for over 20 years and has put together some of the biggest pay-per-view events over that period. The likes of [Floyd] Mayweather, [Oscar] De La Hoya, Canelo [Alvarez], [Bernard] Hopkins, [Marco Antonio] Barrera and [Juan Manuel] Marquez have headlined exciting events that Richard has promoted and produced.

“His knowledges and experience of the pay-per-view industry and combat sports are second to none. I am excited to embark on this next chapter of my career as I continue to cement my place in history as one of the greats with Richard as my advisor. I can’t wait to give my fans and the sport the fights they want to see.”

Jones, a former UFC world champion and regarded as one of the best MMA fighters of all-time, has been out of the cage since February 2020.

He is expected to return as a heavyweight.

In the last few months, there have been heated negotiations between Jones and UFC president Dana White - because Jones wants a large guarantee to take part in a dangerous pay-per-view fight against newly crowned UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou.

Schaefer parted ways with Golden Boy in 2014. He would later start his own promotional company, Ringstar Sports.

One of Schaefer's fighters, Nonito Donaire, will challenge WBC bantamweight champion Nordine Oubaali this Saturday night in a Showtime televised main event.

The longtime boxing figure is excited about the new business relationship with Jones.

“It is an honor and a privilege to be able to work with such an amazing athlete and person like Jon Jones,” Schaefer said.

“Jon is the gold standard of UFC and one of the greatest athletes to ever dominate his or her respective sport. As he has proven time and again, there is no challenge too great or opponent too difficult. His journey from being the youngest UFC champion in history to becoming the undisputed and undefeated GOAT has entertained and awed fans for many years. His incredible skills and unbelievable fight IQ make him the most dangerous man on the planet.

“I am looking forward to sitting down with Dana White and his team on behalf of Jon to put together the fights the fans want to see.”

He's feuding with the UFC. Sitting around in his prime not fighting. Turning down fights while demanding other fights and pay. He was offered a fight at HW w/ Stipe. But he turns it down saying he cannot gain enough weight, but still demands a fight w/ Francis for an unrealistic amount of money. Then he goes on Twitter and completely loses his shit on Sonnen. Dude has lost it. He's had 2 fights in the last two years and arguably lost them both. Used to be a fan...

I hear steroid abuse makes you do all kinds of crazy shit......

Jones acts like he is a company man who has never done anything wrong and always done right by the UFC which is just flat out not true. The UFC IMO doesn't owe him anything simply because of the positive tests, events being cancelled etc.

Jones looks a happy man to me. He’s set for life financially, is regarded as one of the greatest of all time, has never taken a beating and has a family. I think he’s right to hold out for more money.

He's not going to get it though. If he's happy where he's at, that's fine. But if he's holding out for a pay that is unrealistic or trying to call the shots, then his fighting career is done. He can't fight for another promotion while under contract with the UFC. He's turned into a diva. He should of just taken the fight with Stipe.

What you're doing wrong is allowing Dana White to pay his fighters comparative peanuts.

The thing is, though, is that the UFC pays their fighters more overall than in boxing. A fighter debuting on a UFC undercard is going to make a lot more than a fighter debuting on a TR card, for example.

I believe there are only a handful of boxers making serious bank anyway. And as far as the Paul brothers go, they were mega YouTube stars prior to boxing. It's not as simple and clear cut as Francis is making out.

Thing is when fighters are making their UFC debut, they’re not making their MMA debut. They too started out with smaller companies and Bellator etc. Where they earned small amounts.
