just dont want to make the effort to do something if its not the way everyone wanted it done and if i did try to do it how people wanted i wouldnt have been interested enough to keep doing it . i admit i did lose interest a bit when i had my boxing show looming in real life but whilst doing the heavy tourny i had began enjoying it again .

feel free to keep it going mate
im sure few of us still can find time ( in my work i might add ) to jump on get involved.

I am going to resurrect this game , well sort of , ill explain below .

Im currently editing a database on title bout , which will be of a fictional basis , one weight division (which will be heavyweight )

ill create a whole new universe of fighters and will do a draft of fighters for everyone playing , much in the way the boxrec sim is done , this is not going to be a rival of box rec sim , so no reason people cant play both if they want , the fighters skills will be unknown in the draft, people will effectively be picking their fighters based on which names they like , this is to make it as fair as possible (although a record will be included for each fighter to help them make a decision ) , trades will be included so if a fighter isnt doing well he can be fired by the player and replaced by an alternative fighter ranked lower than a specific rank . Fights will be able to be arranged between players or against non human managed fighters , and there will be 2 days that fights can be arranged for (probably wednesdays and saturdays ) , anyone who doesnt arrange a fight will not fight that time , and once a month a roll call will be done to ensure everyone is still in , anyone not confirming there still in will then lose their fighters , i would like a volounteer to help run this if poss and if they have title bout i can send them a file of the database to help with things.
The game will be entitled World Boxing Manager , every month all non human controlled fighters will have randomly scheduled fights if they havent fought that month .
ill post all the rules at the top of the NEW thread that i will post , ill post a thread in all the forums that will effectively be an advert with a link to the main thread , which i will place in the other sports forum .
Any one willing to volounteer to help run this give me a shout via pm so that we can get our heads together to come up with a draft of starting rules list that will be placed at the top of the new thread.

hopefully get some of the guys who played the original game i did on this thread , the way i did it before was too time consuming , so theres a few tweeks that i think will improve this , i got annoyed with the last one as i tried to make it different , but at least this way if i do get fed up the info will be there to be able to pass on for someone else to continue .

no not at all , you only have to be on at least once a month to stay active

I'm in, I downloaded title bout the other week but it need s burning to disk for it to work but I don't have disks, should I invest?

no you dont need title bout to get involved , you dont even need to create a fighters name (thats how we did it on the old version ) , there will be a list of fighters that can be drafted to your stable , all youll know about them is their name , nationality and their record , which is all you need to know to get going , although as asked by deadend generation , is worth getting , its limited as to what you can do as far as the game itself goes as its just a fight simiulator really , its idea for this type of thing though .

Im expecting the database to finished and ready to go tonight , so ill draft up a rules list etc and post onto the other sports forum for the games new thread , ill put a link in here when its done , we will basically use this thread from now on as a planning thread and for people to join the game , the new thread will be pretty much for the game itself.

Theres currently 11 who are interested in playing , theres 16 fighters in the first draft and the 11 who have said there interested will get priority , although once the draft goes live it will be first come first served out of you 11 as to who gets what fighter , after 24 hours it will then be open for anyone else who wants to join to be able to pick up one of the remaining fighters , after the 16 fighters have been allocated we will get started and do a second draft a week later for any newcomers and if anyone already playing wants a second fighter .
