Really? I bet it sells far better than Fury and Wilder against everyone, including each other. Again, Joshua gets rated differently than the other two. Fury can’t shift 5000 tickets for his fights yet you watch Joshua sell 60k for Pulev at Tottenham in March.

Joshua made more dough last night than Fury and Wilder have made combined in their careers. It’s why every other heavyweight should be absolutely delighted Joshua win last night. He’s the biggest ticket in town
He's the UK's darling. He couldn't fill a stadium in the US. No one could. Not anymore.
Interesting side note. All sports in America are down in live viewership.
Maybe we are all just fat and lazy watching it on tv

True. He sold MSG though, against a C lister. Probably sells more live tickets in the US than Wilder would and obviously would sell loads more than Fury who was giving away tickets to barely quarter fill arenas in Vegas against the club fighters.
He’s not just a UK darling, he’d do 50k+ gates in most of Europe imo. He’s still the big ticket. Ruiz fought him twice and now has more career earnings than Fury and Wilder!
Joshua apparently took £60m+ last night. Ridiculous money

I think Joshua did really well. I didn't think he had that in him. Boxed well and changes his style completely. Went from moving on rails to actually spinning and pivoting when he needed to. I think it makes him a more difficult opponent. Although the aura has gone.

I think he gets too much criticism on these boards yet...the speech after the fight for the apartheid state was pretty awful. He should be ashamed.

I could a fk about how much anyone makes as it has no bearing on how bad or good they fight. But if that makes you feel good, then go ahead. My point is that boxing in the US is no where near as big as the UK. Or Europe either. BTW, the MSG event for AJ sold well largely because 10,000 UK'ers came across the sea. Let's not kid ourselves.

And they will the next time he fights in the States. I think that's Lilywhite's point: regardless of how good you think he is, he's a draw. That means he's the big money fight for Fury and Wilder.

Whether Hearns and Joshua are prepared to give those guys a big enough split remains to be seen. I'd like to think that, after all the silly money he's earned, Joshua would be more interested in legacy fights, but I'm not the one taking punches for a living.
