Yep, horses for courses is right.
It depends what you go for, I've avoided the Peter Fury interview not because i don't like Peter, but how much boxing can they talk about in terms of what Peter himself has done !?
I finished the Matthew Hatton Pod yesterday and that was spot on
52 fights and a very good career that took him a while to find his feet in the pros. Boxed some really good names and was pleased to leave the sport with a European title to his name.
Fury confirmed he had one amateur and one pro fight.
In the pro fight he was a couple of stone overweight, had a go for a couple of rounds before retiring because he was knackered!
So yes he hardly boxed and as there was nothing to dwell on it was glossed over.

Peter Fury ep was basic. No mentioning of what he actually went inside for, I know he refused to talk about Tyson split, but he could had talked about him taking on Tyson the fights leading up to the Klitschko fight including him not being in New York and the big one itself and Tyson drug ban (well that last one was unlikely) Also Hughie fight with Parker. Ps Hughie going no where.

In other words a waste of time listening to it
Matthew Hatton was obliging and had plenty to fall back on, not to mention being the younger brother of Richard Hatton.
Some Pods work exceptionally well and others don't. I think if you know what you're looking for your instincts will guide you.
I couldn't wait to hear the Kelly Pavlik Pod and it didn't disappoint. I was always sceptical about the Richard Towers interview and needless to say I bailed on that one because it was utter bilge.

Farrells my favourite so far. Had a really upbeat feel to it. His passion for boxing is brilliant to listen to, spoke about everything very openly without dwelling or exaggerating anything.

Maurice Core was a good one and he came over as a decent person too.

Galahad was a good interview. Seems very strong mentally. Tris had no chance pushing him on the BJS video incident or Kids brothers shenanigans.

Great quote by Kid Galahad on Mick Hennessy- i dont have a bad word to say about Mick, he was just lazy.
Fcuk me, i'd hate to hear him savage someone!!

Interesting to hear that Galahad got pulled up on the board with BJS and denied everything as his face wasn't shown and the bloke just sounded like him!

He sounded quite experienced in the 'no comment' game....

Totally agree about Hennessy, he could be a top 2 promoter, being lazy makes sense.

Ricky Hatton next week should be a good one.
Hennessy isn’t the only one. What promotion did FW do for yesterday’s show?
Yes Frank isn't the force he use to be, One thing Matchroom got is their media presence online, They keep on pumping out content and creating hype. Looking on FW Instagram account they didn't even post about the main event lol. No photos, nothing. Nothing in the main press about last night show. Poor from the media team.

Literally none of my casual friends have mentioned boxing since Matchroom went to DAZN.

Yeah - the U.K. shows on DAZN haven’t properly crossed over to the casuals yet although they’re clearly selling tickets well. Good going selling out Liverpool, Spurs and pretty much selling out Warrington’s fight.
They’ve been pushing very hard on social/YouTube which gets to the boxing fans but not so much the casuals. They also had the shows at the same time as the Olympics/first round of premier league which couldn’t be any worse competing for column inches.
FW isn’t even doing much on social. I’m genuinely not sure what promotion at all he did for yesterday’s show and I don’t know anyone personally (including friends I go to shows with) that’s watched a show on BT this year. Loads of them watched the Billy Joe Canelo show on DAZN and quite a few watches Buatsi’s fight the other week. No discussion though for the first 2 fight camp shows.

BT produce great content on YouTube. People just say anything.

All three shows were guaranteed sellers.
It’s a big hit losing their biggest name from the shows in Benn. Despite them not getting as much 3rd party publicity as you’d expect I enjoyed all 3 shows.

I thought you meant AJ, Smith and Warrington.
I don't believe Fight Camp did sell out at all. I never saw it even half full.

Ah right. Agree with AJ and Warrington but it’s been several years since tickets sold like they did for Liverpool. The last time I went was Clev/Bellew 2 and that didn’t sell as many with some big names (albeit in one sided fights) on the undercard.
I think the first and last fight camp shows sold out. A mate went to the first and tried to go to the 3rd but couldn’t get a ticket. I’m not sure on the second. He said there may have been empty seats but it was because people were loading up on food/drink and also trying to get selfies with the other boxers in attendance.
