Until that TBA has a name we are all only pi55ing into the wind trying to guess who it will be.

Frank specifically said it wouldn’t be Usyk.

So did Tyson.

If you choose to believe the Saudi December stuff being bandied about - and Hearn does because he says he is 100% sure Joshua v Wilder will get made - then Fury v Usyk was never going to happen in August/September. It was never even a possibility for either of them.

Decca Heggie looking more likely recon ..

Fits the Fury profile of preferred opponents too.

Decca lost his last fight. Regularly gets called a sausage. Would be happy to fight for £20k.

C'mon Decca :box:

Maybe Fury's already got another family holiday to Tenerife lined up for December? Or is Tommy's proposed fight with KSI in December? If it's both again, like back in March/April, then any December date v Usyk is defo a no no.

Does Tyson try and get the he perfect opponent to mirror Usyk’s size and ability. I’m thinking his opponent could be Paris Fury. Would certainly be a game changer.

I’d say the most likely opponent based on what’s been said is Francis Ngannou. Really hope it isn’t.

The other more left field potential opponent I can think of is Wladimir Klitschko. Obviously a long shot but he’s often spoke about coming back and may see it as a way to give back to the Ukrainian people.

I thought it was everything but confirmed that Ngannou was facing Chisora on the Saudi card.

Who knows with Fury.

In that case then I’d imagine the winner of Fury/Ngannou will fight Chisora in Saudi.

You used to slag Fury off daily but have never commented on AJ avoiding Wilder for 7 years or him shamelessly ducking Fury twice in 9 months.

Do you often go back and re-watch the first three* Fury vs Chisora fights? Which one is your favourite?

Or do you tend to focus on his fight against Tom Schwarz. Mind you, watching those fights will take you away from your daily anti AJ posts.

I think you are very taken with AJ really. Understandable. He is a bigger name than Fury, bigger box office, has more character, mixed in higher company and fights more regularly, whilst also taking more risks. And hasn't failed a PED test. Different gravy.

*Presumably Fury will fight Chisora again soon (or a tune up for a fourth Chisora fight).

I forget where I heard it but I did hear a rumor that Wladimir Klitschko might be in the running. Getting his long awaited rematch. Until the WBC forces a mandatory on Fury he can face as many elective opponents as he wishes. But I do think it might be a "War of the Worlds" crossover with Jones.

Probably a few posts up?

No, this was somewhere on YouTube but I forget what channel I saw it on, though I don't put much stock in it because Klitschko is still in the Ukraine, has been inactive for so long, no tune ups, etc. And it certainly wouldn't be a "game changer," far as I'm concerned.

I think it will be about a 15th ranked guy like Sanchez or Bakole and people will say that isn't exactly a game changer. :salut:

Frank’s not daft. If he’s saying game changer then it can’t be just a normal ranked contender as it makes them look even worse.

I can’t see it being Jon Jones mainly because the UFC/Dana wanting to deal with Fury and the nonsense. It’s also a hiding to nothing for Jones as he has a pretty good deal with UFC but unlike McGregor and Ngannou, his background is wrestling. Unless it’s some sort of hybrid, I can’t see it.

Ngannou is easier to get given his promotional position, has more of a boxinng background and some big one punch KOs in the ufc that could be used to hype the fight and it’s something he clearly wants.

The reason I suggested Wlad is that when Frank was interviewed this week he was asked whether Fury would be fighting a boxer next and he said yes. Could be more games but I think Wlad’s always wanted to avenge the Fury defeat whilst the stuff with Usyk may well just enforce that. I’d hate to see him lose badly to Fury so hope it’s not that.

Fury seems to be leeching onto Joyce v Zhang publicity.

Does fWank mean 'gamechanger' in that The People's Champion becomes a sparring partner next?
. The offer is there Joe, get yourself down to Morecambe Bay and do as many rounds as you want with myself. "Get up there, can't say anything better than that and I won't charge a lot, just £100k a round."

In other words Fwank asked him to publicise the show a bit…
