Yeah I know what you mean, I remember when I won my heavyweight title, I was the same; straight on the coke and booze.Goz wrote: ↑29 Nov 2018, 17:38 Perhaps it's poor of me but I'm genuinely a bit cynical about Fury's whole 'mental health' saga and suspect he's exploiting it to win hearts & minds.
Just some of the stuff he's come out with ("you just need a point in the right direction and pull yourself together") from having read about it, doesn't strike me as someone with clinical depression. I'm thinking he's just like you & me, can box a bit, won a world Heavyweight title and went on a humungous bender that went a bit wrong.
As it can to be fair.
As I type this it make me think Fury is far worse as a cynical f**k than Wilder being a complete twit and makes me hope he gets absolutely sparked on Saturday/Sunday.
I'd like to believe his story, I really would. I love a good comeback and think a comeback is the basis of the very best stories in sporting history - in any sport - but I just don't think I buy it with Fury and he's being exceptionally manipulative.
But I might be wrong, just my observations.
Oh, now you put it like that, perhaps Yarde isn't ready for TBA just yet.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑29 Nov 2018, 17:41 TBA is also very reliable having fought many names, former/future world champions etc.

Really tickles my fanny.

Tyson Fury calls out England Ladies footballer Lucy Bronze in embarrassing Twitter gaffe
The unbeaten heavyweight saw his hopes of fighting Dereck Chisora at the weekend dashed but still wants to fight and is hopeful of naming an opponent
Tyson Fury still plans to fight on Saturday - but it won't be against Liverpool and England Ladies' Lucy Bronze.
Fury accidentally called Bronze out on twitter when he thought he was challenging American Deontay Wilder to replace the injured Dereck Chisora, saying: "I want u punk."
The 5ft 5ins defender's twitter address is @LucyBronze, while Wilder's is @BronzeBomber.
Bronze saw the funny side and tweeted back: "Sorry to let everyone down, but I'm unavailable for a fight."

Freaking classic
Nope. This barely dignifies a response but Fury was hinting at his mental health struggles and talking about waking up in the morning and not wanting to live in IFL interviews even prior to the Klitschko fight.Goz wrote: ↑29 Nov 2018, 17:38 Perhaps it's poor of me but I'm genuinely a bit cynical about Fury's whole 'mental health' saga and suspect he's exploiting it to win hearts & minds.

He should have left at least Klitschko fight 5 o clock beard.
I like Freddie but his record in big fights of late is pretty shit.KiwiRider wrote: ↑29 Nov 2018, 22:25 Freddie Roach;
The trainer, who has led the career of Manny Pacquiao, revealed he has been told by spies in Wilder’s camp that he is not ready.
He said: “What I will say though is that anyone who underestimates Tyson Fury is a fool.
“And you know what? I’ve had two guys in Wilder’s training camp giving me reports from there – and he’s not ready for this fight.
“Have they underestimated Fury? Big time. They don’t know what they’re in for, 100 percent.”
In fairness to Goz, both the WBO and the WBA were willing to make Fury "Champion in Recess" (or similar) if Fury's team could provide evidence of his diagnosis and/or treatment, but that evidence was never made available.jamiem26 wrote: ↑29 Nov 2018, 19:08Nope.
