Anthony Joshua vs. Oleksandr Usyk - 25 September 2021
Re: Anthony Joshua vs. Oleksandr Usyk - 25 September 2021
he should stick to fighting pensioners and fat men. he hasnt got the stamina to fight the full twelve at anything other than a snails pace. its embarrasing how almost none of the so called boxing experts seem to be able to see this.
Re: Anthony Joshua vs. Oleksandr Usyk - 25 September 2021
That was sweet tonight.
There’s been plenty of times when I’ve backed an underdog & they’ve come up short but almost to a punch Usyk won that fight exactly as I thought he would. I fancied a late stoppage based on fatigue & I think he could’ve got it if he’d pushed it but to come & win a clear points verdict in London against Joshua is outstanding.
I really hope Usyk gets all the credit rather than people putting Joshua down. After all Usyk supposedly ‘struggled’ with Chisora & isn’t a real heavyweight.

He's quite past his prime now, and while I usually rate him lower than most do, I agree that his prime version would stand a chance against AJ, especially due to the fact that he has a very good chin. Also, some people do not understand that CW's can actually do better in HW than in CW, they don't have to cut weight to 200lbs, they can just fight at 220-225 without losing their strenghts.

Well, Briedis is ageing, but maybe he still got it. Gotta see him vs someone decent.aicheligad wrote: ↑25 Sep 2021, 19:22He's quite past his prime now, and while I usually rate him lower than most do, I agree that his prime version would stand a chance against AJ, especially due to the fact that he has a very good chin. True. I think Povetkin’s regularly come in under 220. Usyk, Breidis & Gassiev are all naturally bigger & broader than him & no one would ever question Povetkin’s size at heavy.aicheligad wrote: ↑25 Sep 2021, 19:22He's quite past his prime now, and while I usually rate him lower than most do, I agree that his prime version would stand a chance against AJ, especially due to the fact that he has a very good chin. Unfortunately, he prefers to fight Artur Mann... I doubt we'll ever see him at HW, guess he'll fight Okolie next. But the more I think about it, it seems to me that you may be right, surely he wouldn't be a no-hoper against AJ today.DrDuke wrote: ↑25 Sep 2021, 19:28Well, Briedis is ageing, but maybe he still got it. I hope AJ turns down the rematch and Fury loses, and we then get Usyk-Joyce and something fun like Wilder-Ruiz. Whyte can rematch AJ or fight Fury.
We could have all those fights in the time it would've taken to get Joshua-Fury.
