Perhaps it's poor of me but I'm genuinely a bit cynical about Fury's whole 'mental health' saga and suspect he's exploiting it to win hearts & minds.
Just some of the stuff he's come out with ("you just need a point in the right direction and pull yourself together") from having read about it, doesn't strike me as someone with clinical depression. I'm thinking he's just like you & me, can box a bit, won a world Heavyweight title and went on a humungous bender that went a bit wrong.
As it can to be fair.
As I type this it make me think Fury is far worse as a cynical f**k than Wilder being a complete twit and makes me hope he gets absolutely sparked on Saturday/Sunday.
I'd like to believe his story, I really would. I love a good comeback and think a comeback is the basis of the very best stories in sporting history - in any sport - but I just don't think I buy it with Fury and he's being exceptionally manipulative.
But I might be wrong, just my observations.
Nope. This barely dignifies a response but Fury was hinting at his mental health struggles and talking about waking up in the morning and not wanting to live in IFL interviews even prior to the Klitschko fight.
In fairness to Goz, both the WBO and the WBA were willing to make Fury "Champion in Recess" (or similar) if Fury's team could provide evidence of his diagnosis and/or treatment, but that evidence was never made available.
TBH I always thought the whole "issues" thing had a lot to do with being busted for nandrolone & the resulting multi-year attempt to wriggle out of it, meself`.

Bout 4-5am I reckon
4am would mean 8pm in LA. Bit early for it.
Well most of what I've seen have said them times , 5 more likely

This is why I hate LA cards.. New York main events are always around 3am here.. Vegas is usually 4am, no later than 5am, unless it's Mayweather..
LA is shiit.. Remember watching Khan vs. Molina at 6am.

I never thought I'd say this but I want Fury to do this .
Wilder has been acting like such an arse and Fury seems reasonably cool .
The way Wilder spoke to Gareth Davies wasn't great , very intimidating and looking at other recent interviews it wasn't just him .

That's ok , will set the alarm a bit later .
Undercard doesn't look too bad , BBC radio coverage from 4am , I would have thought main event around 5 ???

Yeah it sucks for you guys. The GGG Canelo was ridiculous as well.
$29 USD for me. I probably wouldn't pay much more than that. At least you have it in prime time, I'm going to have to choke down my first beer at 11 am on a Sunday morning, but that's the dedication I have for boxing

I didn't know Tyson had been sparring with Okolie.
Pretty good choice as far as speed goes, Okolie has quick hands, maybe not the unpredictability of Wilder, but definitely quicker than "The Brown Lurch"
